Was just wondering about levelling. I have just over a day in /played time already and my grp is only lvl 19.5. (I have taken off the time I spent messing about with macros already). Is that slow? It feels it :)

Thats about where I was for that level with my priests. Keep in mind that if you make it to 70 (or whatever your goal is) that you have multiple characters at that levels...if you soloed them all up individually it would take a lot longer. That's the tradeoff. :)

Am I Slow?
LOL, i'm sorry. I won't go there :D
I have over 8 days played on mine and i'm 53. Thats slow. Almost pure grinding sucks. Nice coin tho.
Basically...
Soloing = Harder leveling but faster
Grouping = Easier leveling but slower

Boxing == Grouping

Ehh I am level 45 still on my locks and about 8 days played. No rest exp though and I spend alot of time afk, chatting, fixing macros, etc.
So no not really.
My 4 mages were about 15 days played when they hit 70. My 4 priests were 23 days played when they hit 70, though they do have 300+ tailoring on all 4, and 375 skinning/mining/herbalism and 325 enchanting. So, all depends on how much time you spend doing anything else but leveling. ;)
That's about as fast as my priests. There's a lot of time spent fixing and writing macros and making sure things work, so don't take it too hard ;)
Then once 40 there's a lot of time spent riding around mercilessly ganking in contested zones.
I whouldn't worry about that.
Although many people think playing 5 chars at once you instantly kill everything and therefore you must level very quick there are different problems to deal with like:
* managing macros
* some char accidently dying
* many aoe spots are cleared very fast but the respawn is not fast enough so you want to go some place else
* Crafting, organizing ressources (so what do i do now with the 436 bolts of linen i have looted :P), feeding the auction house
* etc.
Expect to be slower than a single character but do not worry about it.
Enjoy the game experience - thats the most important thing,

you still got one year time to reach level 70 because it will still take a lot of time until Wrath of the Lich King will be released :)
