Issue with G15 Keys Addon.
Yesterday, I upgraded my OS to Vista. Everything worked great except for a weird issue with my G15. I went back and forth between the mod and the logitech app trying to fix this last night, and I had no luck.
For those familiar with the addon, you set you keybinds to the various buttons in the GUI, then record the keystrokes into the G15 editor, and you can now use the buttons in game. All of this was working fine for me until I upgraded to vista yesterday. I setup all the keybinds in wow and on the G15, yet when I press (Example) G1, the wow mod thinks I am pressing G13, If I press G13, it thinks I am pressing 1. I tried deleting the mod, its LUA file, uninstalling the logitech app and starting over and it still does it.
Anyone know WTH is going on? I kinda miss those extra buttons.
EDIT: Adding a summary of what I did to fix this.
Quote:
1.) Set the G15 profiler to be wow persistent and kill the all of the G15 processes. (LCD Mon, Clock, etc.)
2.) Set yourself as the owner of the Logitech folder. * I moved mine to a different location other than Program Files, this may have helped*
3.) Give yourself "Full Control" of the folder.
4.) Run as admin.
*For some reason, I could not select "Run as Admin" on Logitech app, so I right clicked it and told it that way* Maybe someone can tell me why I couldn't set it. The "Run as Admin" box is grayed out to me when everything else allows me to check it off.
This is what worked for me. I run with UAC off and since I have a really good hardware firewall/ VP, I am not really worried about much.
Hope this helps

Not sure how to fix the problem, but also don't think it is a vista issue. I also have a G15, have set up the keys with the g15 tool using the wow profile. It worked fine the first time I tried it, but since then it is all screwy, the keys getting pressed inside of WOW are not the ones listed in the G15 tool. i.e. I have Control+Alt+1 set to G1 key, but in wow it is reading f1 or something crazy, despite setting up bongos key bindings for a button with Control+Alt+1. Stinks because it was great the one time it worked. oh well.

So i'm not the only one. That is EXACTLY the same thing that is happening to me. I have G1 set as Alt+Insert, and if I press G1 it uses F1 instead. If I press Alt+Insert on my keyboard, it will activate the G1 key in the wow addon.

One thing I haven't tried, will tonight if I remember, is to set the keys up in the g15 tool as a macro, using the macro recorder instead of the assign key function. I used to use those keys on my warlock where they would press "1", then "2", then "shift+1" etc and never had any issues. I don't use it for that any more btw, I heard it might be against the rules, and it was too hands off for my liking, but could prob set up those macros to press "Control+Alt+1" at the same time, essentially the same as using the "assign key" function and see if it gives a different result.
Never know.

no a big fan of the macro feature on the g15. it is not as reliable for certain combos. Assighing keystrokes seems to work the best for me.
wtb a fix for this if someone is willing to make this thing work. =)
