Recommended rig temps?
I recently downloaded Asus PC Probe II to check the temps in my new rig (wanted to make sure my heatsink / thermal compound install went well) - I have not been able to find a site that shows / lists recommended operating temps for CPU, Ram, etc. and could use some input.
Thanks.

Im not sure about the others but for cpu's I believe that the following is about right
35c = great
45c = average
55c = getting hot
60c = not good
70+ = bad bad bad
correct me if im wrong

Here are some notes that I had floating around. Generally, but not always, the Product Specification Sheet for the product will list the operating temperature range for the product in question.
* Processor Spec on AMD 4850e: http://products.amd.com/en-us/Deskto...il.aspx?id=426
Operating Temperature: < 78 deg C
* Intel on Chassis Temperature: http://www.intel.com/support/process.../CS-001553.htm
Keep fan inlet temperature < 38 deg C
Recommended to keep chassis temperature below 40 deg C
* Specification of Western Digital RE2: http://www.wdc.com/en/library/sata/2879-701176.pdf
Operating Temperature 5 deg C to 55 deg C
* Specification of Crucial SSD: http://www.crucial.com/support/ssd/ssd_25_specs.aspx
Operating Temperature 0 deg C to 70 deg C
A large number of people seem to aim for whatever the current temperature is minus a couple more degrees.

Thanks for the info.
CPU at 33C - so all good
Motherboard saying 45C - gotta check that as the asus pc probe II program keeps popping a warning on that one

45C is ok im pretty sure. I believe that if you go to the bios you can change the thermal shutdown temperature so it shuts down if the cpu gets too hot. I believe(not posititve and I cant check cause im at work) that the lowest setting for shut down is 60c.
