4 X SL\SL Warlocks (Quad boxed) + Resto Shamy

did i mentioned that any silly attempt to train a SL warlock will get broken by death coil anti train? (or just plain fear) also SB*4 aint bad, and then it crits :>

I find the it only takes 2 rogues to take me out... all the dots are useless when they can clense them... one locks up your healer.. the other proceeds to rip you a new one.. deathcoil only delays the inevitable.. it sounds great theorycraft.. in practice not so much.. dots are just too slow..

I am levelling 4x locks atm will let you know if they ever get to 70

if all of the locks are fliction you can place 4x Unstable Afliction on them. let them dispel all they want to. 4 displels at over 2-3k dmg each should do the trick.

Cloak of Shadows does not trigger UA, also I have seen pallies bubble specifically to dispel on those kinda of groups. ... Watching 3 or 4 UA's blow up a priest who is using Mass Dispell a little to freely is REALLY funny though....

I play a 70 lock as my main, and have had 5 locks on various servers since beta 60+. I was gonna make my first 5v5 team all locks until I saw Ellay's vids. To pvp on a lock your bread and butter is your instant casts, I have never been a fan of UA because I don't want to stand in one spot for that long, unless I am not the target and can drain. To make this group work in my opinion you would need instant HOT and Shadowburn. Setup your instant HOT as a round robin to keep ppl off ya and just run and dot. As one person said even if your trying to dispell all the dots, atleast 15 per target, you won't keep up. Then also if your facing a 1 healer team, 5 felpups on them with auto spell lock on should take care of them I would think, while you are fearing/dotting everyone else up. I am also very very curious to see what 5 death coils followed by 5 shadowburns would do to a warrior charging in. But this is why they call it theorycraft. I might try once the shammys are done.

The problem is that classes like rogues and mages can dispell our dots
with one click without any penalty from UA. And those that can't
usually have a @#$# healer behind them just healing them through dots..
and yes I had warriors with pocket healers tearing me up while the
druid behind just runs around spamming hots :( btw all this is
about BGs not arenas.. those tend to be actually worse as the other
team is focusing on you only.



It's still fun to watch people stop in their tracks when they got
15dots on them.. but you're not an indestructible god on the
battlefield.

Drive by DoTs. Seriously, you're compeltely mobile. Just run and DoT. A Resto shammy would NOT be good here, because you have to stop to cast heals. A priest or druid would be much better with all the instant cast HoTs. The only epic fail here is that the only race worth doing this setup is Undead for WotF (totally OP and needs to be nerf'd honestly). Any other race setup - one fear bomb and you're screwed if your PvP trinket is on CD.

Pre 2.3 or w/e patch were they removed the Elites guarding the gys in AV me and some buddies came up with this number to break the infamous spgy ally turtle as horde...

1. Prot Warrior charged in and tanked elite right by the flag at spgy with 2 priests healing the living shit out of him. 10 Stupid alliance of course try to beat on the very well geared prot warrior.
2. 3x Warlocks spamming the holy hell out of SoCorruption on the elite being tanked. 6-8 seconds later all the alliance are dead due to their stupidity.
3. Prot Warrior runs the elite to the respawn point of the GY and tanks the elite there. Same scenario all over again. Hopefully by this point at least one hordie has his head out of his butt long enough to cap the flag.

In case you can't tell I'm not actually a huge fan of pvp, however fun little experiments like this make it quite amusing :) One thing I would love to do with a 5x warlock group or some variation there of is to just sit in the shadows somewhere on D or at a offense turtle position and just spam Dots and seed and rack up HKs :evil:

well then i guess that in thory it sounds litle bit better then what it really is, any other class X 4-5 might work? maybe 5 holy shock pallys? (not really) hmmm .. 5 boomkings? (was that tryed?) can any thing but shamys go pro @ 5s arena?
