VISTA 64-bit??
Im thinking of upgrading my OS to Vista Home 64 and wondered if anyone has something to say about Vista?
I run SLI but cant run dual screens with it so i was wondering if i could use the 2nd Vcard to power a 2nd monitor and also upgrade to the 4GB RAM, I heard the only way to accomplish all the above is with Vista 64 :?:

The most popular reason to make the jump to a 64bit OS is for the extended RAM support. But let me warn you that this will not translate into WoW utilizing any more RAM than it does in a 32bit system. WoW is a 32bit application... Maybe that will change in 3.0

I run 4 toons on a 64 bit vista system (I have Ultimate). It has 4 cores and 8 Gb of RAM - and I have 2 video cards. My XP system actually crashes more often, so I'd say it is fine as far as stability goes. Your major issue will be finding drivers. Make sure all the hardware you have actually has 64 bit drivers before starting.

It's debatable if its worth it to use Vista x64 with 4 GB of RAM. You'd get 3.5 GB or so with Vista x32, and 64 bit uses more memory because of the increased pointer size, etc. In my experience it's pretty much a wash between the two factors. If you had 8 GB I'd say definitely go x64, but with some older components with likely shaky 64-bit drivers you might want to skip it.

I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 bit. I haven't had any problems and actually really like the OS. The only thing I didn't like was the Cancel / Allow, but I turned that off.
