Status update: Pre-duo boxing prep work (paly 65)...

Just saying hi, and wanted to give an update on my 5 box team prep.

I am hoping those with experience in a 1paly 4shammy team could provide feedback.

Basically I'm working on my Paly 24/7. I want him to be 70 with proper AOE tanking gear once I create the 4 shammies. He will boost, and AOE grind them to 70 (should be a good long, repetitive, painful process).

I dont see myself doing that much questing as I will be 5boxing on one computer without a crazy monitor setup. I think (this is my first time really hardcore duoboxing) I will try to avoid questing as I dont want to have to micromanage quest turnins, etc. (i'd like to avoid as much carpal tunnel as possible).

My paly is 65, about to be 66, I'm making good progress and having fun leveling him. Right now he is Ret, to help speed his own leveling. Once he hits 69 or so I will respec him prot and begin aquiring tanking gear.

I have a question about gear for an AOE tankadin. I have been reading up on it alot, and know about the essentials (petrified lichen guard, if possible skullflame shield, highest spike you can get, figurine of the colossus etc.) But I have a question: what is some decent, fairly easily obtainable, AOE tanking gear I can start equipping him with at 70? Should I try to get into some Kara raids? Heroic dungeons? I want AC, sta, str, and then i guess secondary would be int and +damage/healing?

I still havent bought my hardware yet, I think i will once my paly dings 69 :) I'm going to build a smokin machine, probably will have just one nice widescreen monitor or something. Budget is about 1200.
