I took a break and built a $nearly $5k PC for multiboxing Shadowlands. Stopped playing last 6 months before end of the expansion and then I learned mulitboxing is a no go, well it is but not with software... So when Shadowlands launched I did not play and got refunded on all my 5 accounts.
I want to have a play at the expansion but not with x1 - been boxing since BC.
How are people boxing now ? if anyone is at all ?

The Policy Update was against the use of Input Broadcasting Software. Not all Software broadcasts inputs... Hardware Input Broadcasting was not banned...Quote:

For those who were around before ISBoxer, multiboxing today feels pretty similar.
I feel like we're back to this being a rather niche playstyle - certainly fewer of us today than there at this point last year. There's not as much activity on these forums, but there's multiple multiboxer discord servers that are still hopping. There are lots of options, but there doesn't seem to be any universally agreed upon solution - lot of people doing lots of different solutions as nodoze spelled out above. To be clear, none of them have all the same power and low barrier to entry that ISBoxer had. We're kinda back to the "let me see if I can make this work" sort of solutions. Not that the different tools are user unfriendly (WoW Open Box seems particularly well written that you can pretty much just figure it out in less than an hour), but we are back to the days of using a combination of software or hardware as well as lots of in-game macros and addons to make it all work together. Some comps that used to work pretty well in ISBoxer are probably less optimal with the different sorts of play styles now. I think we're all still learning a lot.
I'm still multiboxing with 4 accounts. Boxing still viable unless u are farming gold with 20+ accounts. Don't use Alt-TAB or any other key combinations to switch windows. Just use "Ebony's Multiboxing Assistant" addon + auto window focus switching with mouse over (set by Control Panel and a registry setting, just google it ). EMA addon is legal and excellent for auto follow.Quote:
