Starting up a Horde group of toons on Wow Classic PVE and wondered if anyone had thoughts or resources to share regarding the best pairing for duo boxing. I think Warlock followed by a Priest would be pretty strong, but want to fill out the rest of the classes on my two accounts, so four on each. Any suggestions?

Warlock\Priest
Hunter\ Shaman
Druid \Mage
Warrior\Rogue
Lets tweek it.
Likely the fastest option is to first level a Mage+Healer duo and then master a single Mage's Blizzard Kiting style and power level your alts. You can learn more about this from Arlaeus's YouTube channel.
If sticking to duos to me healing & rez's are one of the limiting factors so I would want to pair them where-ever possible and maybe start with the combos that have unlimited rez's to give the most forgiving options early. I would also want to get myself free food/water ASAP if trying to do all classes so with that in mind I would likely go with the following duos:
Mage+Priest (starts with free water/food & then available for the rest of the duos);
Warrior+Shaman (warriors get the most from totems);
Rogue+Druid (duo stealth option);
Warlock+Hunter (pet classes are the easiest to run without a healer;
The only one that really would matter to me order-wise in the above list would be to do Mage first to give all the pairs free water/food.
You could run the Hunter+Warlock next and then use the Warlock to give the rest of the duos healthstones and a soulstone. If I recall correctly you can only give out one soulstone at a time per warlock & would want your rez'er to have it so likely you would want the Warlock opposite your "healer-pet" account.
I debated on pairing the Rogue with the Shaman and the Druid with the Warrior but in the end felt it was best to have duo stealth.

I view pet classes as mini-trinities unto themselves since they have a Tank Pet, pet healing (mend/funnel), and DPS from pet/character. In the end you will have at least one pair without a healer in it and pet classes are the ones that least benefit from a true healer.
With the above in mind I think the pairs having a healer (and the pet classes healing their pets) plus the Mage getting Fort+Shield will likely net you more overall across all the duos than trying to pair warlock+Priest for shadow damage synergy.
In the end there is no wrong answer and if doing the duos you want to do makes it more likely you will be excited about logging in and finishing then that ultimately is the right answer (I can see some fun from deep shadow warlock and deep shadow priest DoTing mobs to death). In my case I like Warlocks and chose to go with them for my DPS even though the general consensus is that they are less optimal than going with Mages so even if that isn't the generally recommended approach it was the right one for me...
My first Classic multibox team was Shaman+Warrior. The synergy between those two classes is amazing. I did manage to get them to 60 but then switched to 5 boxing :)
Warlock/priest sounds pretty good as mentioned above. Bear + cat is good, too as you can stealth around/through some things to save time. Warrior + healer would be good as the only downtime is due to the healer's mana. Two warlocks would be pretty good as well as they won't have any downtime unless the pet dies.
Warlock+Paladin is one of the best for similar reasons, in part, like how a Paladin healer really helps Warrior Tanks (heals, ret-aura & sanctuary on the Void and salvation on the lock and paladin)... That and both getting free mounts helps if a first duo on a new server.Quote:

Hunter/Druid ... by far the fastest leveling and fun to boot.
You can tank instances with Bear and when you go Feral and get +30% run speed on both toons it's awesome!
druid+druid for 2 brez, heals, stealth, cat/travel form...
