Classic - 5 Man Composition 1 H Priest, 3 Locks and 1 Druid

Hey all, I'm a first timer to this so I started off with originally 1 Healing Priest and 4 Locks. I got them up to around 32 and thought about subbing out one of my locks for my level 32 Druid. My thinking was make the Druid go Balance spec in order to get the Moonkin form for the extra spell crit to all casters. Would this be viable or would it make sense to have the Druid Heal? The reason I like the H Priest is because of the two different AOE heals that I can use, especially when Hellfire is needed.

Secondly, as far as DPS goes for the Druid all I'm really using when cycling among mobs is Starfire, Wrath, Moonfire and Faerie Fire. I'm not super confident in my abilities to do much more than that but I do feel like he's not adding much in the way of DPS versus the locks against elite mobs, even though he pulls a lot of aggro.

I leveled a PrLLLL to 60 and it was pretty easy until I got to Rend in UBRS. That said, I'm in the process of leveling a druid as well to replace a lock for some of the tougher encounters where a pure tank would make things easier(magic immune mobs, Bosses etc).

Personally I wouldn't go moonkin since the crit buff doesn't do much for locks aoe'ing. I think going feral is the way to go. I'm wondering if the priest could go shadow for shadoweaving and still heal well enough for the druid to tank?

I went ahead and changed around the group and it seems keeping the Bear Druid healed while minimizing threat and damage done to the locks was much easier, as the locks previously would do so much damage over time that they would pull aggro from the void walkers, even though they were Demon Specced. This would result in my priest needing to single target heal more and would drain priest mana faster. Being this is the case should I leave the locks in their current spec or change it up for increased damage output?

The only issue now is there's more micromanaging maybe due to the fact I'm using keyclone and haven't been able to successfully assign commands to keys as easily as I had hoped. Right now my MMO mouse has all healing duties assigned to it, while the main action bar is relegated to lock spells and then my second action bar is for Druid abilities but I haven't been able to assign them keys so I'm manually point clicking abilities, while macroing lock abilities and remembering to use mouse functions for healing, sometimes doing all three at the same time. Makes me feel like I'm a drummer.

My locks are all currently SL/shadowburn spec and I just dot dot wand things down when I'm not aoeing. Since I'm 60 I think I'll just respec DS/Ruin(for raiding) once my bear is in the group.

In your case deeper affliction build would be better imo. I think finding a combo of corruption, siphon life, curse of agony, and possibly Drain life along with wanding would be best. This would do two things for you. One, you would have a nice steady dps curve and not be as spikey(unless you use NF procs) potentially pulling aggro off the tank. Two, it would give your locks a bit of self healing so you don't have to micro manage the heals as much. The only downside would be a little more downtime drinking and even then you could go dark pact soon.
