VFX Healing, = run away little ....

Hi everyone,

I setup VFX using Mirais video guide and its good. I took nite of the bug where the mouse in the vfx window activates and if your running, off goes your priest.

Ive set up my movement keys accordingly, however my female priest still likes to run away.

Going back over the steps again and they all seems correct, however just asking here to make sure I am understanding the issue correctly.

Dont broadcast keyboard over vfx, just mouse. (and keyboard modifier works fine)

Is there a setting for that when setting up VFX to only take mouse clicks and keyboard modifiers?

I generally was OK in normal content but sometimes when things were dangerous and my team started dying I would move too fast and end up having issues with my healers running off.

Edit: One fix you can make that should stop the running would be to have a new key map that sends all four direction arrows and then hits Alt-F to enable auto follow (or just send the arrows and then manually send Alt F).

Im keen to know too. I cant recall seeing that option. Ill have a look after work tonight.

I switched to repeater regions for this very reason, maybe VFX has an option for modifiers that I am not aware of (Pretty mediocre at boxing) but repeater regions 100% do, only adjustment you have to make is a copy of your frames on the master so you can see whats going on.

So are you basically saying to make a "read only" VFX to see the background client and then have a repeater region on top of it to pass-through?

I guess that would work, personally I just have an exact copy of my party frames (In my case Grid2) on my tank.

OK I understand now what you meant. That makes a lot more sense.

Thanks for the pointers. I saw repeaters on ine of the vids but went ood school and assumed it was vfx. Eager to give it a go tonight. Thx again!
