I have 5 Horde hunters at level 22 and I really dont like it, I really want a healer with them.
So what be good with 4 hunters a priest or a shaman?
Would the windfury totem work with the hunters? Or is it just better with stamina buff and the shield
windfury doesnt work with ranged weapons or pets.
I'd pick priest for simplicity and my style, but druids work really well with thorns and such and match the animal theme, and shaman arent bad either minus windfury which is their specialty. Druids are also great for skipping trash since you have stealth and the hunters can just feign death.
Shaman have wipe protection with Ankh which is pretty sweet. Druids only have battle rez which can be a problem.

Tremor totem is very useful in several dungeons. A lot of people don't realize it also removes charm and sleep as well as fear. Having your healer put to sleep for 30 seconds in dungeons is pretty annoying.
Stoneskin reduces incoming damage on your pets quite a lot. Grace of air buffs your hunters damage and pet armor.
The passive survivability of having a shield plus mail armor is also very nice. There will be times with a pet team where your healer pulls aggro and priests are super squishy and prone to dying fast.

I personally prefer Druid because they can also taunt if you need to. And I think Druids are better at endgame stuff like boosting, they can save time by stealth/feign death through trash, they are great at wPVP baiting/scouting, you have a flag carrier for the battlegrounds phase, and if you ever downsize to 2-boxes they can still farm dungeon bosses with a hunter.

priest synergy with hunters is low, very good healer but it’s slow, and clunky where as 4 hunters and a shammy are fast, grace of air etc is going to really help you and chain heal is numero uno when it comes to healing 4pets involved in a huddle tank-fest.Quote:

for me it’s a no brainer. Even shamans stoneclaw totem is enough to let your hunters get distance from mobs when you get stuck in a dead zone. And earthbound. It gives your hunters a gimped form of kiting) which they had lost by multiboxing with them.
Some folk play the right faction. What is the best healer for boxing 4 Hunters by Alliance players?
Paladin is the only healer on alliance side that provides meaningful DPS/mitigation buffs for physical DPS classes. Judgement of wisdom is also quite useful for hunters.
Otherwise, probably druid for fast boss runs using stealth and feign death. Though, since in classic it seems you don't enter combat with mobs automatically when your party members engage, I wonder if you could just pull mobs using standard hunter tricks, run your team past and park it around a corner then feign on the hunter to reset the mobs without even needing stealth? Might be possible.
