Best healer for a 4x Warlock Comp?

So, I've narrowed my healers down to a Priest and a Pally.

Priests:
- Buff warlocks damage
- Stam buff
- Have dots themselves
- Offensive dispel

Paladins:
- Salvation makes it less likely to pull threat off VW's
- Wisdom on VW's mean they sustain a lot longer
- Do absolutely no damage, but generally more mana efficient than priests.

The main goal of this is to have 1 warlock to raid on while also being able to farm 60 dungeons. I want to avoid having to play multiple specs just to keep things simple and relaxing when farming at 60.

Please help me decide :)

Paladins aren't as mana efficient as priests in this comp. When pet tanking and channeling hellfire there are 8 targets that need to be healed. A single prayer of healing will heal all of them. Paladins can't keep up with single target heals. Particularly at low levels where you don't have the +healing or crit% that paladins rely on for efficiency.

Also, nobody has confirmed whether pet tanking dungeons will be viable at 60 yet. Threat values for pets on classic appear very different than they were on private servers.

My main is a Paladin and I sometimes I wonder while leveling if only 1 Paladin would have been enough to get through many fights I finish so I am often grateful that I have 2 Paladins to heal with (and I only have 5 targets) while leveling...

I love Paladins but highly recommend Priest for that composition (4 Locks).

I would mitigate the risk of not being able to complete all dungeons/bosses without a real tank by including a Druid. You could run the Druid as a caster/off-healer until you need a Tank (or run the group in the standard Tank+Healer+3DPS(Warlocks) configuration).

Paladin has the best buffs with concentration aura , kings, wisdom, ect, and have thee best single target healing and the best mana sustain when geared up. Their weakness for multiboxing is aoe healing, which priest and shaman are both great at. Also consider Paladin buff timers are very short and can get extremely bothersome until greater blessings.

Voidwalkers are not viable tanks at 60. They tank fine, they just don't hold aggro. It was always a problem until they gave us the felguard and restructured the pets to better fit their roles, and why warlocks were never good at soloing dungeons like hunters could.

For alliance, I'd go with priest and paladin both x3 lock.

Pros;

Kings
Fortitdue
Non intterrrupted Hellifre due to Intensity lock talent and Conc aura making Hellfire best aoe in game meaning that you can pull 15 mobs and kill them ultra fast since all your ticks will be put to use. No lost dmg, They will die from Single Hellfire, Priest can heal all, EXTREMELY HIGH health pool,mana etc.
Might for VW means no agrro at all plus salvation on locks.

Extreemly good durable pvp setup.

Cons:

1 dps less. that'all folks.


I'd always pick pala over priest anyways due to salvation and conc aura.

Yes I believe that is what he was saying and if I understand correctly the key reason he liked Paladin is because, with a Paladin's Concentration Aura your Warlocks channeling become knockback immune making their DPS higher & helps offset the loss of the 4th lock when AoEing multiple mobs.

PVEwise he felt that Blessing of Might or Kings on the VoidWalkers would help boost their aggro/survivability & Blessing of Salvation will reduce the Warlock's aggro and the combo should help the Voids maintain Aggro better.

PVPwise 2 healers are recommended for PVP teams.

The other advantage of this team configuration is that you can run a standard Trinity config with it:

Tank+Healer+3DPS
Paladin+Priest+3Warlocks.

1) Guild I play with has come back from the dead to play Classic. We're mostly open pvp.
2) Computer only takes 4x... I live in remote area w/ horrible internet.
3) Pal/Priest/2x warlocks ok? or ....

Any recommendations appreciated.
