Newbie here, some questions about functions and usability.

Hello. I downloaded Isboxer and saw that this is complex software with many functions. Howewer it is working out of th box and I could run it for two chars mainly with default values.

I am seriously consider to use Isboxer to lvl up party of 5 chars to 60 when classic WOW comes out, but have some doubds.

Lets look at the case:
Party (tank - master, mage1 - slave, mage2 - slave, warlock - slave, pal - slave) will face with group of 5 elites. It is hard elites could wipe party easy.

So what should be done. Tank pulls with bow and hides behind the wall, while mobs is running 2 mages sheeps th most annoying mobs. Tank begins to make as much as possible aggro on all 3 mobs in rotation. DD focuses one mob, healer is healing tank. One mob begins to cast, mage1 must use Counterspell, at the same time tank gets bad debuff and healer must to cure tank between heals, at the same time sheeps ends and mages must to resheep mobs. When 3 mobs died tank go for 4 and mage2 resheep mob 5.

It could be much harder with AOE, roots, fear etc from mobs.

My questions is:
- Is it possible to safety manage those packs with Isboxer without jumping btween windows? Only one mester - tank window is active.
- If yes, how it is possible, what I must to configure? for example how to make different party members different classes and spells to make different actions on different tagrets from master window?

Did anyone complete Scholomance, Stratholme or LBRS with Isboxer in vanilla WOW or really hard encounters at retail? I can't find any vids on youtube. Pls share your expirience, tips and tricks.

I'm afraid to decide lvling in classic with Isboxer 5 man group and do not be able to clear even Deadmines fast and safe without many problems and wipes.

The main issue with what you are asking if it is possible is that you say that there will be a lot of target swapping.

Without focus you can't really control from tank and use CC on a different mob than you are targetting from the tank.

You could control from 1 mage and use mouseover polymorph on it. Then you could also set it up so other mage has a macro to assist mage 1 and polymorph that target, allowing you to polymorph 2 targets without any swapping of windows.
So this would require you to control from a mage and use IWT on the warrior to run to mobs (might not play too good, but only way I can think of doing that).

Another way that might be possible to use 1 CC is to use healer as a "focus". If healer doesn't need to target anything else it could target the mob that needs to be CCed, and then the mage assist the healer before using Polymorph.

Another way you can handle the CC is by target mob 4 with tank. Press a button to assist on Mage 1. Target Mob 5 with tank. Press a button to assist on Mage 2. Target Mob 1. Pull mob and hit Polymorph button. No swapping window and 2 mobs are CCed.
To CC mob 5 again you can either target it with warrior and tell Mage 2 to polymorph it again. Or have the healer also assist when you did the pre-pull targetting and make Mage 2 assist the healer when re-polymorphing.

Healing you can do with mouse healing (it is some videos on how to send mouse clicks to the healer(s) when controlling another character).
You can do the same thing with dispelling, I would use Vuhdo (I mainly like how you setup debuff tracking for pvp so you can specify exactly what debuffs to look for so you see the second someone hit a CC you press it and dispel it).
I think you can make a different area of the hp bars send spells to different character, so if you right click on the left of the hp bar it tells mage to remove a curse from that target. If you right click on the right side of the hp bar it tells priest to dispel a magic. If you left click it cast a heal... Things like that.

There is people that have done many things, 40 box MC (when it was possible to automatically heal and dispel with addons, won't work in classic but for 5 man it is not needed), some have done 2200 rating in 5v5 arena. Some have done mythic dungeons in retail.

It shouldn't be any problem to multibox classic dungeons.

we don't know if focus will work on classic. So, as I understand, it will look like:
One master tank or healer doesn't matter must have multiple action bars one or two for himself and others for slaves, for example 1 acion bar for mage1, 1 action bar for mage2, lock, healer.

So 5 or 6 action bars with main spells of each party member to manage them from one master.

Not sure what you mean about action bars.

For a very simple setup with druid/mage/warlock/healer you can have:
1 = Maul, Frostbolt, Shadow Bolt.
2 = Swipe, Frostbolt, Shadow Bolt.
3 = Swipe, Blizzard or Arcane Explosion, Rain of Fire or Hellfire. (Blizzard and Rain of Fire using @player macro)
4 = Frost Nova in case mobs goes for healer/casters.
5 = Assist with mages using round robin
6 = Polymorph without assisting (so mages polymorph whatever they had targetted, for CC before pull)
Mousewheel up = Demoralizing Roar
Wousewheel down = Taunt
Fearie fire can be sent along with maul/swipe to reduce keybinds if desired.

Healer can heal with a healing addon and using mouse and just send mouse clicks to it.

So with ~8 hotkeys (2 which doesn't get sent to slaves if controlling from tank) I think most dungeons would probably be doable and with that small setup group would have single target and aoe damage and CC. Ofcourse not optimal to just set up those keys and can set them up better, but just an example that much shouldn't be needed, won't need 6 full action bars.

The API has been removed from the game client, so we do know it won't be present or accessible unless the community can somehow convince Blizzard to reinstate it.

It's from retail, but I and probably every other isboxer veteran can do the Darkmaster Gandling teleports with no problem, and that's as far as I remember the most complex fight in all of vanilla's dungeons for a multiboxer. The key is to have a setup so you can drive from any character and still perform the actions needed, so all you need to do is to switch to the teleported character and let the others continue on as normal while you make your way back.

In vanilla theres almost no mechanics that requires movement or splitting compared to retail and is going to make multiboxing very easy. Targeting for say polymorph without focus is going to be a bit more painful, especially mid fight, but it can be solved with manual target assignment

Multiboxing is hard (we are going to be doing content that groups of 5 single players can struggle with) but like anything with practice you can get very very good at it and yes I'm sure many of the people here will be clearing all of the dungeons.

Personally I cant wait for the challenge and the shared knowledge here to help us get through it.

I'm sure once classic drops there will be a huge influx of discussion on here, youtube tutorials and streams to help us put our heads together and work our way through it.

On the topic of focus there were addons in vanilla that allowed you to do it if blizzard do leave it out I am hoping that some addons will be made that give us that functionality as it will make CC'ing much easier
