The Battle for Azeroth trial experience ends after three hours of game play in Battle for Azeroth, or after the quest "We Need Each Other" (for Horde) or "A Nation Divided" (for Alliance), whichever comes first. Players can repeat the trial experience with up to 12 characters per qualifying account during the welcome back weekend.

3 hours.. mind blown lol

From comments on WoWhead, the quest "We Need Each Other" is just that introductory quest where you have to follow the princess and she shows you around which awards the Welcome to Zandalari achievement at the end. It takes 55 minutes to complete that chain, or 50 minutes if you skip the cinematics.

I don't understand why they did that, some crazy trial.

I could swear I read somewhere that if you already have BfA applied to an account, the 3 hour limit doesn't apply. It's the internets, so trust but verify.

Your right if you have BFA then you get the free weekend if you do not have it its a 3 hrs trial.
