Hey Ebony, I am not really in the loop with what is going on. I just noticed Jamba was reverted to the old version and judging by the posts it seems someone pissed you off or something. I actually liked your new jamba update for BFA, and found it less buggy and more enjoyable. How can I get your update back? Is it under a new name? I saw something about "EMA". Thanks.
Jabberie is taking over old cassic jamba so any problems bug hin jamba-ee/ema is gone for now... maybe one day ill come back after the hate has gone and everyone truly knowns what they want.....
Good luck
I dunno, maybe start with https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/jamba and post comments? If you're dead set on grabbing an older version to see if that has <feature X> or works better, click on the EARLIER VERSIONS tab on that page.
This. 7.3.5-5.4.1 has some issues but a couple of us on here dealt with them pretty easily. Basically needed to remove some old calls in healthstone usage, taxi and glyph events. Mine had a nasty bug with advanced looting that caused one window to disconnect randomly when looting mobs. turned out all 5 were buggering the server trying to loot simultanously. I changed their loot command to round robin and put a C_Timer in. Ex: C_Timer.After(1, function() LootSlot(slot) end)
That fixed the adv loot disconnect.
Sorry to see you go. I don't know who is hating on you but I will say, there are thousands of multiboxers out there using Jamba every day who never say anything, many of which don't even know about forums or how to contact you. I myself don't really post or anything. But we love, appreciate, and rely on your work and most of us enjoyed your update. I love it so much I had to use a windows backup just to get it back... It was really well done and I know a lot of us are hoping you continue. Don't worry about vocal minorities, you can never satisfy them.
I've never looked into WoW addons or what is involved but I am a programmer and in my experience with programming the customer is never right. Just go in your own direction. Good luck to you and I hope you return! Really enjoy your work. Thanks for all the time you spent on it while you did.
