My team idea for 5-man and mythics+

Hi all,

i am thinking of a solid 5 man team for all 5 man dungeons, heroics and mythics. How viable would it be to have 1x prot pally and 4x affliction locks? All of them have self healing as i understand it.

Would i need a separate healer in higher level mythics?

Would a druid tank be better than pally tank?

Do I need a tank or can 5 locks solo the heroics and mythics?

Its going to be a gear thing for you. That combination will probably be as good as any other once you're geared up. 5 locks is possible just like 5 hunters, and you'll probably go just as far as 5 tanks. Its like a mythic+ cap can only go so far, 5 tanks not enough dps and 5 dps die quicker.

I think most people are just leveling teams right now to prepare for BfA. By the time you're geared up the pre-patch will be out. I have started just farming achievements.

right now I would say a DK tank, Druid healer and 3 hunters would be my ideal set up if I was starting up.

I'm using a druid tank and the rest as my allied races leveling.

Since the dk has higher run/flightspeed, similar to the passive paladin crusader aura, do the others loose follow after a little while, or do a hunter have a passive speedbuff for the party? I dont play any hunters.

Ideally you want to avoid leading with a paladin or dk, if the others cant keep up. Its kinda annoying having to stop every 10 to 15 sec to let the others catch up to avoid loosing follow. Espesially if you plan to fly across zones, since you cant click to move with main and go semi afk while they go to the new location.
