Classic Plans

I'm so excited to 5 or maybe even 10 box a team when Classic comes around. Being able to solo level 60 pre-raid dungeons is such a cool concept. Going to try something drastically different then what I've done in the past to maximize the loot tables and prevent wasted gear.

Plan on running a Warrior - Druid - Shaman - Priest - Mage team, not entirely sure about the mage yet but we'll see. The survivability from 3 different healing classes that can all do decent range DPS is going to be a lot of fun. :)

So, what's your plans?

I think including a Mage in most teams will be a must, for faster traveling. I'll definitely be doing a mixed team of some type. Honestly it is still too early to nail down teams for myself. I want to know more details on the final configuration of the server rule set. I.e. addons, client version (important for IsBoxer support), talent tree and many more.

I think there's still too much information outstanding to make solid plans. Will we get any QoL changes? Balance across classes? Will we have auto loot, area loot, interact-with-target?

Hell, we don't even know if there will be pvp/pve servers or if they'll use the new toggle they're planning?

Assuming the only long-range travel options are blimp/boat, then yeah, I'd expect mage portals will be a hot commodity.

True that. I think it will be a lot more helpful than Warlock Cookies and Soul Stones. The real question, is it worth dropping a healing class for a Warlock? The versatility of 3 classes with the ability to heal will be really nice at 60, hell I could realistically multi-box all of MC with three healers (Sha-Priest-Druid).

Depends on how they deal with Paladins, I think. They were all over the map back then. If they keep current talent trees and just revert content (which I expect to be the plan), prot paladins will still be pretty nifty.

Light of the Protector will be good. Sadly, consecrated ground is 90, so that won't apply. :(

[edit] Guardian druids will be good, too, I suspect.

Wayyyy too early to start planning anything really. It'll only set you up for disappointment when things don't align with how you're envisioning it.

Hunters or Warlocks because i like pets :)

What were some ideal group composition s for vanilla wow?

I've scrolled the Internet and could barely find any group setups for vanilla wow. The ones I mainly seen was for TBC or later.

So far I think I am going to go:

warrior(prot at 30+)
Rogue (combat)
Priest (holy/disc)
Shaman (enhance/resto)

The rogue in the group is a must since when I decide to stop multiboxing, that is the character I would want to play.

I am unsure what I want for a 5th. This group is mainly for instance running with very little world pve and no pvp.

Any suggestions for a 5th member? I was thinking of mage for sheep/water, arms or fury war for extra windfury dps or maybe another rogue for the same.

I've merged two classic threads. I don't feel that we need multiple threads about classic servers at this time because it's all just theorycrafting and guesswork until Blizzard releases details about these servers.
