Netflix doesn't need to care about how fast you can send them info, that's not a core foundation of their business model.

Do not underestimate the value of solid diagnostics tools, especially those where you can control as many variables as possible. That domain is a drop in the bucket in terms of overall support costs for the product, IMO.
