Looking for maximizer type behavior on a mac

Hello all. I've lurked for a while and finally broke down. I've tried to search but finding mac information in a more technical form is next to impossible when matches for macro, machine, etc are all returned as well. But I did try a search! :-)

What I'm looking for is a way to get some type of maximizer behavior on my mac. Namely being able to run a windowed resolution smaller than 800x600. I've tried several suggestions but every time wow starts up it will override the setting and put the window to 800x600. Is there any way around this on the mac that anyone can possibly recommend? Even editing the WTF/Config.wtf then starting up wow doesn't seem to want to work.
