He brought me a shiny new 6GB 980 Ti today. (Funny, he looked awfully like the FedEx guy...) Can't wait to get home and play with it! Anybody have some recommended tweaks or notes about this series of cards?

You must have gotten some ultra-special aftermarket model, because the normal model only requires 8+6 pin for its power delivery. #FancyPantsQuote:

The only weirdness that happens (with mine) is a conflict with Nvidia/Windows 10. After each windows update I have to use a driver cleaner program and reinstall the drivers. It will lose the plot and not use DX11 features, will crash ALL THE TIME etc.
