Smartbombing havens

anyone have any experience with this? I'm in angel space and i get 2 types of havens. the factory and the rock. I'm wondering how you would go about smartbombing the factories as theyre a bit more spread out on the spawn. also playing with cap stable fits and i came up with

The problem is that this fit costs about 2.5b .... i mean technically i would be running 2 sets of havens at a time, but running 12 characters and a salvager to do this... that would be... really expensive start up. even if i were to only do half my characters in this set up, it would still cost me over 12b to get everything set up. wondering if its worth the investment.

any thoughts? opinions?

I would think that this is pretty inefficient. I can do 500 mil an hour easily with 5 characters, just running gilas or something in sanctums and havens. I would think if you are going to go battleship, and spend that kind of cash, a bunch of rattlesnakes in one anom each, even hubs or whatever would be better isk/hr. A rattle can tank anything a nullsec site can dish out, and can easily AFK-farm with only watching local tank. If you use geckos, its even better.

I no longer do this.

You can only do the rock havens.

There is a further trick you'll need tho, to do it efficiently.

I ran 6 characters total - 5 smartbombers + one overwatch.

So basically this is inefficient?
I guess I'll go grab rattles instead then.

lord's, youre in a wh corp now right? i know wh is going to better isk, just wan tto do something during downtime to generate some isk rather than ship spinning.

i build caps for actual isk. just need to figure something out to do when im being bored :p

thought the smartbombing thing was going to be good, but i guess not.

i dont like splitting my toons off to different sites as there are other people in the system with me and i prefer not to hog all the sites in 1 go. any suggestions for fits and ships for running havens / sanctums efficiently?

btw ive been using 100mn tengus , domis, vexor navys and ishtars. as far as i can tell, they were most efficient, just wodnering if anyone has any other suggestions

I don't know for sure that the smartbombing thing isn't good anymore. I have my doubts, just because I knwo what we make easily in a C5 WH. But that's a different bunch of problems, and more specific ships. It sounds like you have the SP to do it though, if you can fly ishtars. We have been doing it since VNI was the latest and greatest we could fly :)

not good, Smartbombs have been left uncheked for ages, they are drastically behind everything in terms of damage. they are not as terrible as FoF missiles... but still, any medium gun platform will outperform disco battleships for a fraction the cost.

the only place to use them is WHs, as already mentioned, you need an alt to get a good warp in, you land the capital and you smartbomb the escalation wave as it spawns. and even then, 1400mm artys or Tach battleships would do far better, and wont have you die horribly should you get jumped.

on pvp they just plain suck, more so after the last drone changes that made medium smart-bombs pointless unless its to kill Ewar drones.
