Does anyone know how Blizzard's, soon to be required, app will affect us as mutiboxers?

Unfortunately if I plan on purchasing the D3 Xpac this app will be required.
I am sure they will require it for the WoD Xpac for WoW also.
Well, unless they force us to only start through the launcher by taking away Wow.exe and Wow-64.exe, we should be fine. World of Warcraft Launcher.exe is the only exe that's running the new combined launcher.
I think Sony has a similar setup with the Station Launcher where using the Launchpad.exe or EQ2.exe is a headache and a half, but you can run directly from EverQuest2.exe, you skip the launcher and go directly to a login screen.
The launcher itself is supposed to be multiboxer friendly, though their idea of "friendly" is insanely clunky with the alt-tab garbage.
I think the only time we'll need to run the launcher is when there's been game updates. Otherwise, from my completely unscientific testing, the games run just fine from Wow.exe or Wow-64.exe without touching the new Launcher.
av been using the World of Warcraft Launcher since it was in beta they have made it a lot better for players with muti accounts over the time its been out the time we see any big changes for it is in WOD. isboxer should work from the Launcher out now. but for now don't be sacred to use it! wow.exe works fine
I don't really know why Blizzard would remove the functionality to bypass the launcher in the first place, but even if they did:
1) ISBoxer already works with the BNet Launcher
2) Most other software that's used on this site can hook onto game windows after they've been launched
I see no need for panic.
It seems like it will be more like how we open Rift with IsBoxer, as it is logged in before the game opens.
I have been using the beta blizzard launcher thingy for some time now and since Lax already added support for it in ISBoxer everything works just like with the old WoW Launcher: You just dont need it to bring up your game instances...Quote:

You can still multibox with the Battle.net Desktop App.
Here's how:
1. Open the Battle.net App.
2. Select the account that you want to launch first from the drop down menu located above the blue "play" button.
3. Launch that account.
4. Alt+Tab to minimize the game.
5. Select the other account you want to launch from the drop down menu and click "play".

That only shows that blue poster has no idea about multiboxing. There is no need to use the Battle.net app at all exactly as there was no need to use the former Launcher - you just need it for patching not playing.Quote:
