A question to any experienced multi-boxing elemental shaman!

I'm leveling four elemental shaman, who are currently 39. And I've been thinking a lot about one particular thing..

Nature Swiftness, or Totem of Wrath. If I remember correctly, ToW stacks, NS only really works if -all- shamans have it. And it would only remove a 1.5 second cast, 2 second at most if used on an LB.

Still, I see Aelli use NS in his arena movie and use Searing totems as fire totems. Still, might it not be more effective with 4x Totem of Wrath? Or is NS, a cd that seems to do so little, that important for arena when multiboxing? >.>

Not to disrespect Aelli, 75 wins before the first loss. Over 2k+ rating, highly impressive. I'm just wondering how big a part NS plays in that.

to simply put it, most people choose NS if they wanna do arenas and PVP. Where if your PVE orientated they choose ToW, and yes it does stack.
In my opinion fire nova totem & NS are very powerful tools to use in arena aswell and is much more valuable than ToW

NS saves your kill when you have 4 light bolts on their way to the target and he starts runnin los! just pop em ns and hes dead.
sure wrath gives 3 crit/totem but you might just miss the insta cast for the "free" first arena kill.

id say go with wrath totem untill you have 30% crit with gear and talents then respec and try it out.

Alright, I might go woth ToW then while gearing out, to close the gap a bit, respeccing as a multiboxer is expensive though. xP I'll just have to be careful not to screw up the spec while leveling, to keep the costs minimal. xD

ToW deffinently for levelling you cant take good use of NS until lvl70 anyway, and with the way they changed the blue pvp gear, grind rep with shatar, honorhold, KoT, lowercity and CE only to honored and you can get yourself some pretty reasonable pvp gear, good for starting out.

I used ToW all the way up until my first night of arena matches. It will make a big difference for you leveling. ToW will let pretty much kill mobs that are several levels above you as if you were the same level. If you couple this with a paladin tank, then you can easily take on mobs that are several levels above you. This is because a large part of the paladins threat is generated from being hit versus a warror/druid who must hit their target to generate threat. The paladin stuff may not apply in your situation, but I don't think you'll regret spec'ing for ToW at all.

ToW is definitely for PvE, as I respec to it when I raid an encounter and want to be as effective as possible
NS is for PvP, and is the most crucial ability we have. If I had a choice between any talent in my arsenal, it's Nature's Swiftness.

I used ToW exclusively from as soon as I could until I hit L70. I respec back to it on occasion if I'm going to be doing a lot of PvE. For Arenas, you need Nature's Swiftness.

I think it's probably doable to grind out honor in BGs with Totem of Wrath. However, you are going to be dropping Multi-Fire-Novas a lot in BGs, so it may not get used as much as you think it would. It's probably pretty nice for BGs where you're in a big zerg of folks and not likely to have a rogue jump you that much. (Think AV on defense/offense where it's you plus 20 friends).
