Window layout issues.

I'm trying to three box with stacked windows.

One main window, with two smaller windows (bottom left and right corners)

The issue I'm having is when I swap from the main window to one of the smaller windows, a window vanishes leaving an empty corner. The only time all three windows are visible is when I'm on the main window.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?
