Can someone explain to me the benefits of multiboxing Eve? I am doing the trial right now and it seems pretty fun but until I expand more stuff seems very repetitive for me. What does multiboxing bring to the table for Eve?

Having not played it...
I believe you can train more than one thing at a time.
Each account can train a different thing, while you're not playing.
You can likely bring more ships to the table.
Or whatever it is, that is of use in pvp.
It's fairly similar to WoW in that being able to field your own group makes farming faster (with certain exceptions) and means you can do higher-level PVE content solo, especially before you "gear up." I never did any of what would be considered "heroic" content in EVE but being able to fly my own fleet + salvager without having to fear accidental aggro or people salvaging my wrecks before I could get to them was very nice.
[edit] And much like some other MMOs, you have damage types that work better (or terrible) against certain factions. Having a full fleet with multiple damage types/mechanics means being much more adaptive to the situation without having to spend a lot of time preparing.

Versatility is what boxing brings to EVE online.
For Mining: Mining is a low attention activity, but also not stellar in isk payout. Generally one gets to the point of calculating how many hours it takes to pay for the next month of play time, and then every additional hour is profit for that month. But mining is so low on required input, that having multiple miners is not that much of an increase in input effort.... so that when you get tot eh "profit zone" you are making multiples on the profit.Quote:
