I use:
You can park the toons at zone in, for: SFK, Scholomance and Ramparts.Quote:
11-22 Shadowfang Keep (can do Scarlet Monastery at 20th, but SFK is still decent speed at 20-22 and there are A LOT of SM runs regardless).

-- Only need to have them on follow, once they can do the quests... and then park them at the gate once those are done.
22-36 Scarlet Monastery (Cathedral/Graveyard side till 26th, quests on both sides at that point, then Cathedral/Graveyard till 36th; Armory/Archery even is annoying, I only do that once for the quests which are available at 26th (on both sides))... slaves on follow throughout.
36-44 Scholomance
-- Run the slaves down the steps from zone in, stop immediately at the edge of the stairs (on the floor level, but almost touching the stairs still); they get experience for the whole dungeon from there.
-- Only have them on follow for the quest line; beware the first boss aggros from a huge range with lowbies on follow.
44-48 Stratholme (Dead Side... through the service gate)... slaves on follow throughout.
48-58/60 BRD (Can head to Outland at 58th, but I prefer 60th so I don't have to be slaughtered 5-6x corpse hopping to the Burning Crusade gate more than once)
58/60-62 Ramparts.
-- Can park the slaves at the near end of the first bridge, and they'll get experience for the whole dungeon; only need them on follow for the quests once.
62-64 Blood Furnace
64-65 Auchindoun - Mana Tombs [North] (Slaves on follow throughout; break a short distance from bosses, kill them, re-follow through)
65-66 Auchindoun - Crypts [West] (Slaves on follow again)
66-68 Auchindoun - Sethekk Halls [East] (Slaves on follow; can head to Northrend at 68th)
68-69 Auchindoun - Shadow Labs [South] For the achievement; cannot take the quests until 68th.
69-71 Utgarde Keep... Slaves on follow.
71-73 Nexus... Slaves on follow mostly, re-gather whenever you drop them off; beware the wandering guys who go up and down the connecting halls, if you park them anywhere.
73-74.5 Drak'Tharon Keep... Slaves on follow.
74-76 Gundrak... Slaves on follow.
76-78 Halls of Stone... Slaves on follow.
78-80 Halls of Lightning... Slaves on follow.
You could pull most of the zone to zone in, for Scarlet Monastery.
You could do about half to maybe 2/3rds of Stratholme, with the slaves parked at zone in.
If you go with BRD, it's way to big to not have the lowbies on follow.
Even if you do, you can break follow with a spread out key, kill stuff, use slave only forward movement (into follow range) and start follow again, until closer to enemies where the cycle starts again.
They've changed something recently where you have to have the slaves alot closer to the booster now. Used to be able to park toons like mentioned above and get bonus XP throughout the whole thing. It's not like that anymore.
I think Ualaa just boosted six full sets in the last three months, he probably knows what he's talking about. What instances did you specifically have problems with parked boosters, D?
Yes there is definately a range on the RAF experience inside Dungeons.
I have levelled 3 teams over the past month and found Ulaa's advice as he's listed above very helpful, although I found that I generally moved on to the next dungeon a little earlier and went straight to outland at 58 (Ramparts is very easy - grab all the mobs in the zone and kill, no need to move your slaves much past the bridge even with the RAF limited range).
I also add in a single run of a few more dungeons (eg Underbog and Slave Pens for example at 64-65) just for the quests. I think you might loose a little time moving the characters but the experience you get from the quests is massive with RAF. It also helps by adding a bit more variety into the process.
Moving teams is quite easy. I just fly my booster to the dungeon summoning stone, use the RAF 'Summon Friend' ability on one of your slaves. Then use the summoning stone to bring everyone else along.
Obviously if you dont have the RAF perks then the whole process is a lot more painful.
I've been boosting 2 toons since friday, what dasana says is correct. And it's not a very recent change, I recall it being mentioned on these forums quite a while ago. I went shadowfang keep, scarlet monastery, scholomance, startholme and now brd. I ended up leaving my toons just on follow all the time since all xp marks I knew have changed, and having to constantly run the slaves back and forth is a pain in the but. And it's very convenient now to boost with a prot pally since you can do ranged pulls with the consecration glyph, only for rooms where I know there is some form of aoe i tend to let them outside.Quote:

Yes Stratholme is a pain.
Through trial and error I found that a lot of the other dungeons (Scholomance for example), you could still leave your slaves at the entrance, but would have to kill the mobs with your booster in certain locations. Most of the dungeons return back on themselves (although often at different levels) so using the minimap you can see where your slaves are in relation the booster and kill when close enough.
The other advantage of leaving the slaves at the entrance is they can zone out and then summon your booster to them. Particularly useful when there is no quick way to return to the beginning of the dungeon.
In Scarlet Monastery I was losing the RAF XP bonus by the time I got to the end of the cemetary. Was still getting the small Group XP bonus but no RAF.
I finished my boosting yesterday, and the quoted information was current at that point.
In SM, I had the team on follow.
Would 'drop them off' and kill a bunch.
Then gather them up, move up a bit, and repeat that process.
I generally don't pull 50% of the instance in one go.
Rather go through an instance and kill as I go, groups of whatever.
My booster is a Frost DK, so can comfortably take out groups of 10ish in (depending on the level) 1-4 Howling Blasts.
My booster is not linked to the others.
So A>F and B>G, who are linked get parked at say Scholomance or Shadowfang Keep.
Aside from doing the quests once, they don't move.
And they get the RAF experience for the full run.
