PvE or PvP?
Druids are my current favorite for questing, if only because they can do the collection quests without leaving flight form.
PvE: I'm thinking that if you want one group to be your farming/questing group, Druids are fun for that. I really wish there was a way to box moonkins more efficiently. That damn eclipse is hard to handle on more than one.
PvP: Im not sure, but I think druids will be more of a fun factor, being able to stealth and then heal in boomkin form.
Pallies and Druids are both flexible.
They can be tanks, healers or DPS; in the case of a Druid both melee and ranged DPS.
Basically, either choice is going to work well in PvE.
For PvP...
But Shockadin Paladins would be rather hard to kill... assuming you have the DPS to kill anything yourself.
I'd think Ret Paladins would be the strongest option for PvP.
I really like the Battle Healer glyph for the Pallies, where 30% of your melee damage heals the most hurt ally (never yourself) within range... With five Rets, that's 30% of damage dealt (x4) as healing to whoever is closest to dying.
Pallies already have a lot of cooldowns...
Druids can go Boomkin, Feral or Resto.
I've played Feral and Resto in battlegrounds, with a lot of success.
5x Resto have great survivability, and (in 4.x) could whittle away at groups with 5x Insect Swarm/Moonfire... plus during Treeform, Wrath spam was surprisingly good damage.
Feral is the most fun for me... great alpha strike, stealth to pick your battles, passive heals from Leader of the Pack, easy macro dps...
Boomkin had no heals in their DPS form, but can use Glyph of the Moonbeast, for Healing Touch, Rejuvenation, Tranquility and Rebirth.
All specs will get Nature's Swiftness, for either a 150% effective Healing Touch (from any form, without dropping that form) or a Rebirth, which glyphed is a full health heal.
Feral regain powershifting to negate roots/slows; might want to glyph Master Shapeshifter to reduce the mana by 90%.
Nature's Vigil at 90th looks great, both for Resto heals to kill nearby enemies or for Feral/Boomkin DPS to heal their team.
I really don't care for druids. Too much micro managing for my blood.
