FNAR + EoTech = WIN
For the shooters out there, the word of the week is "am-bee-decks-tree-us." ;) Got myself a new toy for my berfday:

Put a basic EoTech 512 on it and wow is this thing fun. :D Put 120 rounds through it last weekend and another 40 this weekend; no shoulder fatigue at all. And the steel plate targets around the ranch are hating life.

100yds with EoTech dot sight off a rickety table benchrest. Not too shabby considering I could barely see the target without magnification.

Now if we could just coax some of the local feral pigs to poke their heads out.
If anyone is looking for a good 7.62x51/308 tactical rifle but doesn't want to pay $3k+ for a good one, these FNAR's are sub-$1000 and more accurate than most of us are capable of shooting. Couple that with low-recoil gas-piston action (which also doesn't foul the chamber/action with carbon and powder residue - yay!) and it's worthy of consideration. ;)
My only real complaint is breakdown complexity:

That looks like so much fun, shame our UK law would never allow me to own one (and don't think a small garden is the place to be shooting one lol)
Nice birthday present :D

I can hit a rabbit at 100m with a .22 rifle, standard scope self-calibrated. Good enough for me lol :P
