Follow, Formations, Direct Movement and Interact with Target. Why use em?
My name is JackBurton. I've been boxing since 2001. There are many great guides out there but not many that talk about the importance of good Movement and Command and Control. I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel. There are alot of good guides allready out there that explain the "how to". I just want to to give you the "why",...explain how better movement techniques can help your game. This guide will be continuously improved as I find more time to work on it. I'll incorporate online videos and the links to the "how to" I've seen that are are appropriate.
There are four modes of control. They are Follow, Formations, and Direct Movement, and Interact with Target
Follow
If Blizzard wanted to kill WoW Boxing all they needed to do is take out follow. Follow is the fundamental assistant to Boxers so I'll talk about that first. JambaStrobe is very very useful when you are traveling by water or air. Both have up and down to worry about. If you end up with a follow break finding your slaves can be frustrating. JambaStrobe helps prevent follow breaks. I highly recommend to be in First Person View when flying or swimming. When your flying you usual have your toons right behind you with their mounts wings blocking your view or your ability to mouse move in front of you. First Person View while swimming helps you quickly scan around you effectively.
Modifications
that add usefulness to Follow key - Boxers have a key they call Big Button. On top of follow they stagger other useful actions. I have smartbuff, enable click to move, master camera view, and JambaStrobe off.
add the macro below to the 2nd step of your mount Macro put semi automatically put you in First Person View mode. Seview# being the # your first person view lives in.

Formations
Formations are a big overlooked boxing tool. Most people think its mainly for showing off. Its actually useful for maximizing DPS and survivability in non trivial encounters. At the begining of your fight your toons are initialy clumped up tight. If all of your toons are clumped on top of each other you cant determine if they are facing the target. If a knockback mechanic throws a toon out of range you wont notice if you cant count them. When your toons are spread out they are safer from AoE. With formations your ranged toons can sit at max range safe from dangerous spells and mechanics. If you are troubleshooting an experimental cast sequence you can watch for casting or swinging animations to stop. The default ISBoxer setup has all the basic formations. Each formation have pros and cons. For example the Line Formation is ideal for a ranged team because your toons can sit at max range and shoot. But the line formation is a two press formation. Flying V also requires two key presses. On the other hand the Star formation is a single press formation that does essentials the same thing. DPS Melee's need to get to the sides of a target to maximize dps and avoid cone and tail based attacks. Flying V formation is my Favorite formation for getting melee's behind a target and spreading out. I actually used to use Flying V for everything. I now use Star formation all the time for a few reasons. Its a once press solution. Its just plain simple. It looks sharp.
Modifications that add usefulness to Formation key - I add JambaStrobe off, and FTL Assist to most of my formations. I've been told that stacting multiple actions on a hold key (movement) action is problematic. I end up having to hit the key a multiple times to get all the supplemental actions done.
Recomended Key - Shift-W or Shift whatever you use for Forward
Recomended Toggle Modes - Flying V, Line, Pivot, Star, Strafe
Direct Movement
Direct movement consists of others up, down, left, and right. It has many uses. You may use it to achieve line of sight on a mob. You may use it to unsnag yourself from environmental obstacles. You can use it to move out of the fire. And you can use to creep into max range before you engage. I have all other move actions bound to my shift WASD, and my all move actions bound to my arrow up, arrow down, etc... Really useful to break AFK.
Recomended Key - Alt-W, Alt-S, Alt-A, Alt-D, or Alt whatever you use for UP, Down, Left, Right

Interact with Target
One of the lastest and most useful movement tools available to boxers. Before CTM/IWT The way i kept Melee's on target was have the puller bring the mob to the melee's or having the melee's on follow and playing monkey in the middle with the mobs. I have two separate IWT keys for more control options. One on the mouse, one on the keyboard. I use the keyboard mainly for refacing needs. I use the mouse for intial pull or retracking.
Recomended Key - Mouse Wheel up, Shift-S
Recomended Toggle Modes
Keyboard: Face Target, others IWT/CTM
Mouse: Tank Engage, All Melee's Engage, All Engage, All Other Engage
