Line Up . What is your experience ?

Hi,

im still leveling my Team and didnt reached the 85. But im not so impressed with my Line Up. for Buff Max. i choose diferent Classes. How would you rate the classes ( 1 worse - 10 super ) in Endgamecontent -> Easy to handle + best DPS. Here my Levelexperience.

Palatank : 9 points
Moonkin : 6 points. ( cant handle the Procs ).
Warlock: 5 points ...dont know..but i dont like him.
Mage : 9 points ( easy,Portal,Heroism,Food ).
resto shaman : hmm... 7-8 points.

So,can you please give me your input and tate your Toons with level 85 experience?

DK tank - workable. Definitely not a hard tank to use in multiboxing. Just need to use the pesky click in next window mechanism.
WAR tank - wouldn't even dream of tanking as a warrior running 5 toons at once. Have done so with just 2 toons and it sucked as bad as it sounds. Icecrown heroics for example when they came out. Yep, my blood pressure ran high.
Ele shaman - a staple in the MB community. Great knockback, extra totems, easy AOE spells that require no pesky click in next window mechanism.
Hunter - a toughie to multibox due to the IWT annoyance. They won't IWT like every other class in the game can due to the melee vs range mechanics.
Moonkin - No comment on this one. I don't play druids.
Warlock - Can be good with the right synergies. Thinking a spell haste + dot / haste build in general here.
Mage - another multiboxer staple. Very easy to play, frost nova drives people up a wall. Can port and give food. Another great set of things for a multiboxer.
Holy Priest - People will probably disagree but, I would not use this healer for anything but a melee team in PvE. Squishy and not as reliable as a chain healer in range groups.
Resto shaman - pretty much the PvE healer for multiboxers.
Resto druid - see boomkin.

DK and Warrior tanks are doable, especially if you drive from that window.
They're not the one-button mindless mashing of a Druid or Paladin tank, as there are more procs and things to worry about beyond the positioning of a mob and its facing.

Hunters are strong DPS, but their CC is a bit harder to use aside from being in the window and using it manually.
I don't like the interaction of two mechanics, when boxing them:
a) Melee attacks break follow; and
b) They auto switch from Ranged to Melee once a mob gets close.

Elemental Shaman are a great addition to any caster based team.
They have a lot of totem buffs that are nice.
If you don't have another Heroism/Bloodlust feature on the team, adding a shaman gets you that.

Mage has a lot of utility.
And you can spec Arcane for the simple boxing play.
Or Frost if you want Replenishment and the snare.

Warlock has a similar level of utility to the mage.
You can summon your toons back, after they hearth.
Healthstones and a Soulstone, plus pet buffs.

A boomkin can go with an easy to use macro, assuming you don't take the Sunfire talents.
If you do, then you need to manually push Moonfire/Sunfire, or the macro will stick.
They (like any Warlock, via a curse, or an Unholy DK) bring 8% spell damage, which can be very nice.
They also have the equivalent of Kings (via Mark of the Wild) and Innervate, Battle Rez, Solar Beam, root.

The Holy Priest is one of the better/easier options to heal with.
The Druid has similar mobility when healing, but a bit of a ramp up time; there is the equivalent of a two-step macro for them, posted by Luxlunae.
Resto Shaman has less mobility than the other two, but Earth Shield and Riptide rock as a boxed healer; plus the other shaman goodies (totems and heroism/bloodlust, if you team doesn't already have them).

DK Tank : No experience
Warrior Tank : No experience
Ele Shaman: Absolutely the easiest dps to box. Macros for ele shamans are about the closest you can get if you were doing it manually. Your AoE is really easy too because it is all targeted (the only thing that puts them above mages imo)
Hunter ( which spec? ) : Survival is probably the easiest to box. I believe a few people do have success with the other specs.
Moonkin: While Moonkins are awesome, they have the hardest rotation to macro. You may end up having to give up the sunfire talent in order to get a macro to work, and that is an immediate loss of dps.
Warlock: I currently have my lock specced affliction, and I was surprised how well he did. Some people do demo as well.
Mage: Faceroll.
Holy Priest: Awesome healing. There are quite a bit of spells to manage however, but they are super powerful healers.
Resto Shaman: Resto shamans are great healers too. My 3 healers are 2 holy priest, 1 resto shaman.
Resto Druid: No experience

DK Tank : 9, second easiest tank to box, easy to macro
Warrior Tank : 5, difficult if you have to drive from a healer or ranged for fights like Jaina where you gotta move someone to flare core
Ele Shaman: 10 just to easy
Hunter ( which spec? ) : 10 (survival) I love boxing my hunter and the Survival macro is super easy. In LFR I am top DPS every time
Moonkin: 9 if you dont take the sunfire talent, 7 if you do.
Warlock: 5, While I love my lock and he is my main for PvP, he is the most difficult to box. Go destro and you can pump out serious damage. I usually end up about 5th in LFR
Mage: 9 go arcane and win
Holy Priest: I actually prefer Attonement spec'd disc. glyph for divine accuracy and smite and you almost never have to do more than /castsequence reset=15 [@focus] Power Word: Shield, Renew, Prayer of Mending, Flash Heal, Flash Heal
Resto Shaman: havent played this at all
Resto Druid: 8 If you use click healing with vuhdo/grid or whatever and your good at prehotting (which I am) this is a great toon, 3 if your bad at prehotting. They are all about healing before your tank needs it.

DK Tank - 7 Given the options for tanks, If I cant get a druid or a Pally, a DK will do fine. Good group buff.
Warrior Tank - 3 Meh. Very good single target tank.. best in the game, however not ideal for a Multiboxer. Good group buff.
Ele Shaman - 9 Ele Totems in a pinch, and all around nice dps, plus a quickie heals... As stated, a staple for boxing. Totem buffs are a plus.
Huntard - 9 Yet another staple for boxing. super ranged dps, Marks spec or BM works just as well. No need to CC when you have 5X Murder Death Kill Hunters. Good group buffs.
Boomkin - 5 Id avoid a caster druid. Maintaining good dps requires a solid use of the sun and moon abilities. Not ideal for boxing IMO. Buffs are handy
Locks - 8 Also nice ranged dps. Extra perks of summoning, stones, and demons make them more versatile. No usable nonsituational buffs tho.
Mage - 10 Boxer go to Pew pew class. Round robin CCs and macros make them number one. Glass Cannon is understatement. Seen videos of full mage groups doing level 85 Raid farming. Buffs are good.
Holy Priest - 9 One of the again staples. If a pally tank is ideal, a Holy Priest is best heals. Buffs are great. Ranged group, with pally tank, using holy priest to drive = easy win.
Resto Sham and Druid - 8 both are doable, good healing classes, however their ability to do the "Oh Shit!" maneuvers are poorer than the Priest.

Ya left off S Priest

Dont count this one out so fast. Properly managed S Priests can be as versatile and useful as a full set of mages. Healing becomes something from Playschool if you have a good S Priest in your group. DoT DPS rivals the Warlock if not better... plus the ability to use its bubbles to stave off a "whoopsie" moment (we have those a lot), and is a back up healer in the event your main healer bites it. I give it an 8.

Any healer, any tank and any 3 ranged DPS. Composition really doesn't matter in 5 mans, they're all faceroll. If you're planning on doing LFR/raiding, I'd go with a Druid tank and Priest, Druid or Shaman healer. This way you can dual spec both your tank and healer as ranged DPS when you PUG. Playing 5 of the same role is a lot less problematic than trying to tank and/or heal while controlling DPS at raid level.

Since when ? Personally I struggle with heroics with my ilevel 330 mixed team and therefore choice of healer is important. Your comment is probably true of overgeared teams only, unless I'm rubbish?

Depends what you mean by, "over-geared", I suppose. If you keep your characters geared (within reason, I wouldn't expect everyone to have full heroic tier on 5 characters) before new content comes out, I've never found progressing through the subsequent tier to be particularly difficult. You can buy the previous tier and off-pieces with JP, which is ridiculously easy to farm. There are solid crafted weapons and trinkets and plenty of 378+ rep gear & quest rewards. LFR is a complete joke, even more so for multiboxers since you automatically have 4 "friends" to roll on loot for you.

Gearing up new characters has never been this easy.

- I must have missed where you said your characters are 330 average before. That's the problem. A full set of normal mode gear plus a few BoE's will put you well above 333. You're attempting content that's above your level. Also, what type of mixed group are you running? If you're playing a melee team, you're going to have a hard time with some of the first tier of heroics (Deadmines, Throne of Tides and Grim Batol would all be annoying with undergeared melee). Go pick up some BoE's, farm factions for the welfare epics and grind mobs in Firelands for the rep cloak, etc. There's a lot of gear to be had outside of instances & you can farm normal modes for easy JP for the 378 vendor gear.
