When I get disconnected in an instance, when I reconnect, one toon will still be in the istance in the same spot, but the other 4 will be in the instance at the entrance in 4 differant instances, all 5 being ungrouped. I have to walk the 4 out, invite them with the one in the correct spot, which usually isn't my "leader", and then run the other 4 back in to my 5th toon, assuming no respawns. Is this the norm? Thanks.
I had such a problem with that one night in BRD that stuff actually respawned on me before I could finish it. I was getting dc'ed constantly and I was super pissed. I hope they change this because its really stupid. I was logging my guy back in seeing him still standing by my other guy then he would disappear and spawn at the front of a new instance.
Yeah, this doesn't happen to me when I'm grouped and not multi boxing so I really don't get it. I'm guessing it has something to do with the simultaneous dc of the whole group.
If 100% of the group logs out, the group disbands.
One person (the last to officially log out) get "ownership" of the group's instance ID. This one is the one that restarts in the same spot you logged out.
The rest were considered "booted from party" after the party dissolves and get their own instance IDs.
This doesn't happen when you play solo because, chances are, the remaining 4 people are keeping your party in-tact while you relog.
In essence, your party is disbanded when all of your characters D/C because nobody is logged in.

Yep, thanks. Like I said before, I figured it had something to do with the "simultaneous dc of the whole group." It's really irritating but makes sense I guess.
