I want to add my rogue into my boxing team, rest are shammys/mage priest heals.
How do I then mnage to use my rogue thats geared now in my team and dps with it as melee while others are casters using 2 step ?

set up IWT and add it to your two step macro.

Essentially...
Decide on what macro the rogue wants to use.
a) Either a straight castsequence, possibly with a /cast at the end of it (on line 2, as a fall-through).
b) Maybe a two-step macro from sticky threads in the macro forum.
c) Possibly a pseudo-priority system, where many keys are mashed (can weigh this with more keys for abilities you want to fire off more often) and one of them will fire off.
Ensure the rogue has Click to Move enabled.
And that nothing turns it off, within your set up.
Interface Options > Mouse Options > Check the box.
Or On: /console AutoInteract 1
And Off: /console AutoInteract 0
Imbed your IWT key, into your DPS.
You can physically put IWT on '2', with the spammed key on '1'.
And then spam both or just the '1' as desired.
If you're using IS Boxer, I'd integrate it, as per the linked post.
Because that way as a mapped key you can toggle it on and off.
Decide if your rogue will Mutilate/Sinister Strike from any direction.
Or if you'll take the time to get behind the mob for Backstab, or that type of an attack.
Set the rogue as combat spec, they don't need a 2step macro, one button will work for them: keep snd up and finish with rupture or eviscerate (or both). You also now have the fun job of dealing with a runaway rogue sometimes and keeping up with applying poisons to his/her weapon.
I have a rogue in one my groups... mixing melee and ranged is a bitch, its fun if you get it right but it is REALLY hard to get it right.Quote:

I had a problem when I tried putting the Melee IWT macro on the 2 step button. Because it was getting called on every key press, the rogue was doing loop de loops around the target. I'm not sure if it was affecting DPS, but it was making me ill to watch it, so I moved the IWT to a seperate button that I use to start combat. That way, I start combat, cast tricks on my tank and start my rogue running toward the bad guy in one button, then I just spam the 2 step button and all is well. When I switch targets, just hit that button again and the rogue jumps over to the new target.
Another thing I've been meaning to try, but haven't yet, is to use the video feeds to accurately control the rupture and slice and dice and just spam a mix of mutilate and envenom with the 2step/spam key...
