By the end of an instance, my blood DK's total damage usually equals just slightly under all 3 of my dps combined. The DK is in crafted blues with a 360ish ilvl epic 2h weapon.
I'm wondering if I swapped out my 3 dps with 3 blood DKs in similiar gear, would I just melt everything? Or is my thinking flawed...4x heart strike, 4x blood boil, all those worms...sounds amazing.
Anyone else run this group?
Keen to know if you can run 5 man in normal / heroic as 4x DK team with a healer. Ideally I was thinking 1 DK blood and 3x frost. But if not much difference in dps, and less risk, then maybe 4x blood would be good method.
Would love to have 1 team that can pvp and pve.
What do LFR groups think of having 4x DK? Do they want you as frost or as blood?
The tank is gaining Vengeance, because they're being hit by the mob.
This increases her attack power, by a fair amount.
So the tank can hit much harder than if the mobs were ignoring her.
This is a threat mechanic, so the tank holds aggro in a raid or group.
If the tank isn't taking a lot of hits... which would be the case with multiple Blood DK's...
Then they won't have much Vengeance, so will be hitting for a lot less.
The Blood DK's do have significantly higher survival than the other specs.
Which means, as long as there isn't a time limit on your dungeon run, and as long as the boss won't Enrage after 10 minutes or whatever... multiple Blood is an option.
It will take a lot longer to clear the instance, than running one tank and the others as DPS.
Quite a few of the 4x DK + 1x Healer teams went with 4x Blood DK's, in PvP gear.
Back in 4.0.3 and 4.1, when we didn't have the gearing to outgear the instances.
Most of the heroics were doable, eventually.
And all of the normals were, I believe.

When i ran priest 4x dks i went as 4 blood,,some heroics were just a pain to heal through if u went in with frost to,,throne of tides my most hated.
with 4 blood my dps was 10k in 355-360 gear,,,almost 20k in frost.
With that team i had cleared all but deadmines, grim batol and troll instances (barely even tried them really)
Yes the dps was low and took longer to kill but the fact you can clear almost all heroics like that makes up for it.
These heroics are alot harder than the new twilight instances so im sure they would be a great team for them.
Just dont use a pali healer for these, i could never get it to work at all, aoe healing is just to poor for most of these instances
