New Laptop
I had an accident with a two and half year old laptop spec as follows

It was determined beyond economic repair.. and so they offered the following.. which arrived next day

turns out the like for like replacement, goes by cost! not spec:)
So I got a current day £1600 laptop as a replacement.. bonus!

Heh yeah, that's awesome man! Just makes sense though, it'd probably cost more for them to try and give you something equivalent technically to what you had before, plus they'd have to deal with ticked off people who didn't think what they got was equivalent.

When they phoned me and said they wanted to run through a spec with me, my face was a glow as soon as they said the word SONY :) LOL...
They asked if i wanted to wait and check online to be sure i like the style, as it would be too late when they send it.
I told them I was not big on style, and I'm sure it would be fine! --- lies i just couldn't wait..and well it's sony.. what's not to love..

Ashamed of my greediness.. I've just had a thought of dissapointment.
When they asked cost price I gave £1600, but i remember now it was over £1800, before I subtracted staff discount.
Oh well........ i am still happy!!!
