Thoughts on best method to power level

Was going to dive in and raise up 2-3 more chars but wasn't really sure what the fastest method would be.

When I power leveled a single char I found the fastest way was to tag mobs with new char and kill with my lvl 50. This resulted in full experience for the newbie and up until the mid levels could kill in one shot-ish.

Now raising up 3 I'm wondering if I should just group up the 3 and go too it, just kill things, quest (I hate pick up quests) or do the same thing with a high lvl character. I'm pretty sick of the questlines after going through 2.5 times...

Anyone messed around with this?

I guess I'll just start em up and play around a bit see what seems to work.

Just tested this myself for the first time, it seems that two toons each receive about 70% exp when grouped vs. what they receive solo when the lowbie tags and the 50 kills. Said a different way, it seems like it would take about 30% more time to boost two toons vs boosting a single toon, if my math is right.

Soo... that would mean it's not quite as fast with multiple toons, but still very reasonable imho... Plus I really enjoyed playing my 50 with the alts on autofollow, mindlessly tagging every mob with a ranged attack before the main reaches melee range and destroys the mob hehe.

Don't forget no matter what to always run your alts through the LFG random for the day, very nice exp and great items from the rare cache at the end. My 50 recieves 9900exp, and a rare cache with a lvl 47 blue for running the alts through the alt-level dungeon.

Well I don't play rift, however wouldn't things die faster when you have two players (toons multiboxing)? So if you get 70% of normal XP but things die twice as fast, well that would mean its faster with two people!

Well the only hitch to that would be quests. The collection quests would slow things down some, but yes it does seem like it would be faster.

I got my 3 new chars started and out of the intro area , wasn't aware of anyway to meet up with each other, and it doesn't take very long anyway.

Going to first try some with just the 3, warrior, two mages, so mobs will fall very fast. Then will try with lvl 50 killing.

The other thing I'm unsure of is how exp would be with a lvl 50 killing the mobs in the low lvl dungeons. So will try that at when I get my team to that lvl.

Quest or grind until 15, then mash dungeon queues. If you have a reasonably geared (T2+) cleric or a mage, you can quickly and easily clear every instance up to mid 40's. It's much faster than questing or grinding.

Was thinking about giving that a try at 15, thanks for the tip.

Also as it they have tweaked quests so it seemed all mob drops for quests dropped for everyone so to lvl 13 only had about 4 collection type quests.

Got to 15 and had my raid geared mage lead the 3 new ones through Fae dungeon.

Seems I can almost do 3 clears per hour, right now getting about 3/4 of a level per clear. Figure I'll stay here till i can do DD, and then move over. Have some exp potions but figure though might be better used once I get to 40.

So think i will just do this until I hit 40. Even if not much faster , I'm so done with quests :)
