GTX 580 or GTX 590 ?
Which card do you guys think is best if I plan to 8-box in SWTOR? The 3 GB version of a GTX 580 or a GTX 590 (also 3 GB) ? Price is not an issue. I want the best performance.
I also plan to have a single card as opposed to SLI. There are a few lists and reviews that claim the 590 is top dog such as:

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/A...TX_590/23.html
However, other benchmarks and reviews contradict that and give the edge to the 580:

Per the articles I know the 590 is two under-clocked 580s in one and that underclocking worries me a bit. What do you guys think? The reviews I've found comparing the two cards haven't been too helpful given that they give contradictory results and of course none of them test for our specific multiboxing needs.
I also found the 590 discussions on this forum, but they were from a few months back when the card had just been released and not much real-world testing had been done on it.

My info might be outdated, but I thought multi-boxing didn't work well with SLI/Crossfire (or multi-gpu cards), unless you use each card separately. As in separate monitors for each card, with separate game windows on each.

For best results I'd go with two of the 3gb 580s in non-sli, and have split the clients assigned to each GPU - four on GPU1, four on GPU2. VRAM is important for performance, and will give you more leeway.

+1 on the 3GB 580. SLI (be it dual cards or dual chips on one card) will give you more trouble and the real world performance increase is not worth it.
