Dunno where to put this... so i'm putting it here!
I have i7 920

water cooling etc as my system
what wow settings would be required to run at like 30 fps? just kill my video settings?

Probably the hardware forums would have suited.
I would say, go ahead and open your 10 windows of wow all at minimal settings and step them all up until you reach your desired effect.
I run them all on low except my main window. Main window is limited to 60 fps, background windows 15 fps.
I have the same sort of set up as yourself.
I usually set view to max on main, minimum to medium on slaves, all detail to lowest, and resolution to somewhere around 1080p x 720p. I enable particle density on my main cause I like to see the rippling effect of Concecrate, Blood Boil, and the like.
I have a i7 2600k processor, 16 gig ram, GTX 550ti Nvidia card, SSD 120gig drive for wow and windows.
this handles 5 wows like creamy butter, so a similar rig like yours could easily run with graphics similar or even better with 10 wow's.
We needed a new thread to confirm the same thing we've been saying for years?
well, it s easy to find your bottle neck but you ll need to test alone on your comuter.
i think you are under w7 x64 so launch all the wows and open the monitor of your computer.
First check your CPU
http://i66.servimg.com/u/f66/10/06/67/69/p410.jpg
you can see your 5 or 10 wows.
it s easy to see if you reach 100% .... so stay under 100% of each core.
Change in lower setting, stop other programs or OC your processor.
After chech memory
http://i66.servimg.com/u/f66/10/06/67/69/p910.jpg
you can see your main wow and the salves wow.
you must to have a little free memory.
if you are full memory> acces disk and lag so buy RAM or use wow in very low.
After check disk acces
http://i66.servimg.com/u/f66/10/06/67/69/p210.jpg
you know your disk speed/acces in reading.
wow read only during the play ;)
so check when all your wows read at same time in one area you are under the maximum
if you are over, change in low setting or use faster disk/SSD etc ...
After check net connections
http://i66.servimg.com/u/f66/10/06/67/69/p710.jpg
you can see for each wow how much you need so you must be under your net connection.
in this case, only your provider is the owner so ... you can only change your provider band connection.
After check your vidéo card with pgm to see how it s working.
i mean use of GPU and video RAM, tem etc so you will see if the trouble is this way ;)
Try to use lower and lower setting for your wows clone and few setting in your main wow and you will see the result.
;)
