Back to EQ1 - 2 New Teams - Feedback Sought

So I'm back playing EQ1. With the new RAF promo, I'm looking into starting 2 New Teams. I'm looking at 3-man teams. Adding 2 new accounts to my longstanding existing main account.

Team 1 - Live Server (Drinal)

For Team 1, I already have a 70 Necro and 65 Mage on my main account. I'm curious what's the best pairing based on what I have. I think I'd like to add a tank and a slower or healer, as mercs are enabled. Which is the better MB partner - necro or mage? I'm thinking mage is much easier. I'm thinking of adding a SK tank and a Shaman slower/healer to the mage. With Mercs, I can add cleric, wiz, wiz. My mage is a good race, gnome. I'm not sure race matters much, but open to thoughts, certainly. I can use Head Start on these new accounts.

Team 2 - TLP Server (Fippy)

For Team 2, I already have a 50 Enchanter on my main account - human, good. I'm thinking of adding a Paladin and a Cleric, both human, good. This way I can group with 3 DPS people, or later on add 3 DPS mercs (wiz).


Software

I'll be using ISBoxer. Any setup issues I should be aware of? Should I use virtual directories or seperate? I run Win7 Ultimate on a machine with enough hardware to handle everything easily. (Though my computer is almost 2 years old now and Win7 seems to hang up a lot when I leave it on overnight causing me endless restarts and sometimes System Restore.)

Paulmer is there more to RAF then just free months of play? I tried to find out info on it but came up short. Do you have a link to RAF in EQ?

Myself haveing most every charactor class to 90 in EQ1 I would def have a slower either shaman (also good for buffs) or Enchanter (haste mana regen auras etc).

That said, Pally is just as good as a Sk and can heal grp~, as for Merc i would'nt use cleric, wiz, wiz/ I'd go Cleric, Dps,Dps. keeping them on Burn.
