For a couple of years now we required new members to post 5 times in the first section of the site before they were given access to the other sections. Today I reverted that and once again brand new users will have access to every forum "member" ranked users have.
The reason for this is because the recent anti-spam changes we've made have worked quite well. We still have spam as some of you likely see, but it's cut down tremendously lately.
If you have any issues feel free to get a hold of me.

Good try but I don't think it's working.
There seems to be an increase in spam.

Also the requiring 5 posts was never a spam prevention method, it was much more to limit the areas that *could* be spamed.
