5 Box Mixed Class PvE

Decided to make a PvE 5 box for leveling, including one of each Archetype. Being able to test out any build of any soul in a 5 box group is something I want to do as soon asi hit 50.



Question : does contribution in Rifts affect how much XP you get as well as rep points etc ?

Whatever, leveling at Rifts is fast and especially convenient for boxing.


So looking at :

1. All classes have ranged DPS for grinding quests

2. At least one of each archetype

3. All toons have AE healing and /or AE DPS for Rifts

4. Option of traditional tank and spank for instances / Rifts / Invasions


I'm thinking :


Warrior - Riftblade / Champ


Healer - Warden or Inq or mixed


Rogue - Bard/


Mage - Chloro/Necro (an unusual combination but gives a toon with Feign Death and Rez as well as great party and MT healing)

5th box - double up on Bard or Chloro


Any advice or thoughts ?

As an aside, I toyed with the idea of 5 Chloros.

Lifegiving veil returns 50% of all life dmg done by a Mage to all group members as healing.


Sacrifice is a single person targetted buff that causes an individual to receive 225% of LGVs normal healing.

Natures touch is a DD that doubles the amount returned by LGV.


Each Chloro can only cast Sacrifice on one target, but with a party of 5 they could round robin it.



All of this only takes 26 points in the Chloro tree leaving you point points to spend in any other Mages souls.


Does anyone know if identical DoTs from different necros stack on mobs ? 5 Necro Rogue pets (21 points in Necro) also sounds attractive.

You could have all of that and still have 19 points left for a third Mage tree.



Personally I love the look of Split Personality in the Dominator tree (26 points) - creates 3 pets that do ranged DPS for 30 seconds. That times 5 sounds lovely.

You would want a few tank pets in the mix. I have not tried choloro, i just read all the time that they have sucky dps. Bards heal 100% of their cadence DPS as a group heal. They do good dps, they have every buff for every class type, ranger soul baseline pets make great tanks ( at least until 30 ). Bards are so good right now, they might get nerfed a tad. If not, they will rock!
