Repeater regions (AoE) for mac users?

I've looked everywhere on this site as well as others for software or an addon that would allow me, a mac user, to use AoE spells across all my toons. I know ISBoxer allows you to choose where to place your AoE spells from the main window, but it's for PC users. Anyone out there know how I can do this on a mac?

For example, I run with a pali tank, druid healer and hunter/lock/mage dps. If i want to use blizzard and rain of fire I have to click on the mage and lock windows, one after the other, and place each spell separately, which takes precious time. I'm hoping for something that will allow me to place both spells from my main (pali tank) window.......anyone?

Hey buddy, you're the first fellow mac user that I have met on these forums! Good to see that I am not alone. Also, be prepared to be bombarded with the response "use boot camp" or "VM fusion ware". Sadly, the truth is there is little support out there for boxing programs for mac. I assume you're using Clonekeys? The vast bulk of boxers (which is still a small % of MMORPG players) play on PC so theres not much hope for finding a program.

I intend to keep my iMac as my main system for day to day use because OSX is just way better than any PC platform but I am looking into buying a new PC rig, just for the large number of programs and addons that are compatible only on PC.

Off topic, might I enquire about your rig? You're 5 boxing so are you using a macpro? My iMac 2010 model tends to burn up when I try 3 boxing, although it can be reduced a bit with manual fan control.

I have bootcamp all set up but haven't tried to box with it yet. Just the thought of having to install all the patches and updates and cata and BC and LK.......yada yada.......<shudder>. I like my setup, I use Plexer actually, although it's a little unstable at times, it works better than clonekeys imo and has a few more options. But I haven't used clonekeys in over a year so maybe there's been an update, idk.

I play on a quad core 2.66 GHz mac pro w/ 8GB 1066MHz DDR3 memory. I updated the video card to ATI Radeon HD 4870. I can only have the main window at a video setting of good w/ all other windows at low though. Should have gotten the 8-core, lol, but didn't wanna spend even more $$ i didn't have ;-). I do have to increase the fan speed to lower the temp while i'm playing. I use smcfancontrol and it's been working like a charm.

I don't think I've heard of the VM fusion ware.....i'll have to look it up.

I would expect you'd have more success with a dual boot option rather than a VM, given the overhead of a VM and inability of a game to send calls directly to hardware. But maybe things are better now than the old days.

I can save you the trouble... don't bother the VM image of windows doesn't handle 3d accelleration well, so its no good for gaming.

if you want to go the windows route stick with bootcamp

I tried and tried to find a mac side answer for wow. Everything was just extremely poor compared to bootcamp and ISBoxer. It's worth the time to set up and just use for gaming. I had some drive space shortage so install most games on externals, then I can easily rebuild the windows partition and copy over whatever I feel I need more drive speed to play for awhile. It's been great, and much faster than any prior gaming windows PC I had. Ran 5 WoW windows with no trouble.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. It would be awesome if ISBoxer would come out w/ a mac version, but I don't see that happening since we mac users are few and far between. Guess I'll have to break down and bite the bullet and just install on my bootcamp drive <sigh>. It's going to take FOREVER to get everything installed and updated since I don't have an external drive to use to transfer my files. ugh.

I have been boxing on Mac since 2008, and all I can do is give the inevitable answer : the functionalities brought by Windows-only boxing software are so incredible that I don't see any way around Bootcamp.

The Windows 7 drive in my Mac Pro is used *only* to box WoW. When I play single characters (mostly traders) or other games, I stick to Mac OS. Yes, ISboxer is good enough to justify using Windows.
