Just wondering on some tactics to boost Scholo with a 70 Prot Pally. I have a problem with the casters they do a lot of dmg. Full plate (Skullflame and Crystal Pulse shields) What are some ways you clear the isntance?

I don't pull all of the the down stairs area because casters suck.
And for the ones pull, I break LoS and pull them up top and behind the door.
After that, I kill each pack, especially the warlock summoners. I once pull the entire room, and OMG, I had massive adds from the summons.
I also single pack pull the ones with teachers.
I pull the entire room with the little flying dragons, all the mobs in Rattlegore's room.
I then do the boss area one room at a time. one pack at a time on the top room with casters.
The bottom room with casters aren't bad to one pull.
I think Strath would be easier, but I hate the eye and gargoyles. I did not try the live side yet, it may be better.
Do the summoned skeletons give XP ? (:
I'm not quite there yet in my boosting group, but I'd do dead Stratholme over Scholomance with a protection Paladin. Too many annoying mobs in Scholomance like the green gas clouds, or the exploding corpses, endless waves of skeletons, etc. Although, I am not sure if you can still do this but it used to be possible to pull a huge part of the instance by tossing a bomb down off the bridge at the start, and waiting. If you can survive it, might be great xp :)
I don't really find the Gargoyles to be a problem, and to deal with the Eye of Naxxramas just make yourself a macro to replace your normal Exorcism button like this:
/target eye
/cast Exorcism
I ran some lower level guys through live Stratholme recently, it's not too bad but everything runs away, and there's a lot of casters that nuke or melee guys that randomly charge your other party members. We had a few people get KO'd by the battle mages or by getting charged by 4-5 melee guys in quick succession.
I don't recall the summoned things giving xp. If they do, I don't think it's worth doing it for that purpose alone.
As for noobs getting hit, you need to find spots where they are out of LoS, but still within exp range.
Even if there are walls and floors between you and the lowbies, they will get exp just by horizontal distance.
A test for this is Shadow Fang Keep. Park your lowbies just in one corner near the lower couryard. Pull the last boss to the other end of the hallway up top, and your lowbies will get exp.
Set the looting to Master Loot or Group Loot, and your lowbies can get loot.
A good idea, but it only works if you don't have the lower level characters helping out at all. I like to have my Shaman tossing heals on me, since it lets me pull easily many times more mobs than I could pull and solo. It doesn't take really any longer as a protection Paladin to kill 50 things than it does to kill 15 after all. So I need them to be in casting range and in LOS.
I use FFA for loot and pick everything up with my main, except for BoPs which I grab on my enchanter. Then dump stuff off to alts as I fill up.
