Multibox Halls of Origination - Norm 5 Man

This was my first run through Halls of Origination on normal.

First boss was the toughest. Once you get used to running down in the pit to pull the levers it's not so bad. I put Tuskarr's on my boots and used a swiftness potion for the second lever pull. Keep him at the entrance or you might strafe off of the bridge when trying to avoid the beam. Plus you are closer to your team when running back up the stairs.

I left out Setesh for some reason when compiling the videos. Anyway, he was hard at first. He just runs around on his own. This is the only one I wiped on a couple of times. After two tries I started ignoring the portals (grabbed what I could with the tank) and just focused fire on him with everyone.

On one of the bosses I lost a team member early, but was still able to do it. It's not too bad of an instnace once you get past the first boss.

Gear is level 312-320 ish. Mix of blues, greens and some crafted. Everyone is level 84 here.

DK Tank, Priest, Mage, Druid, Shaman.

I'll try to Fraps Grim Batol later today. Hopefully that gets me to 85, then I'll start trying (or dying) a lot on heroics.

At first I was like, no way is this going to work. But, like all the new instances (that we all do) it gets comfortable doing it after a few times. It really wasn't too bad. I just need a little better gear. I am always just about out of mana on every fight.

Heroic is going to be the real challenge on this boss since the levers are not instant. There is a ten second cast time on each one, plus the snakes are chomping on you. Might end up running the group down to do each lever with Tuskarr's and speed potions or something.

Yeah, for heroic (without getting the achievement) you just run your whole group down to one lever, use it with a dps while tanking the snakes, then move to the other side through under the bridge and do the same there, then run back up to interrupt the boss by moving next to him.

Great Job on the instance as well as the video. Good positioning on the bosses.

Mind if I ask what add on that you've used for showing the GCD as well as the target cast bar and your own ?

Thanks. I actually have a new comp and only a few addons loaded. One is called castbars and the other is just recount. That's it. I haven't had time to get everything else running.

The castbar addon works great. I made the bar gigantic so I could really see it lol, but it does the job nicely.

I've got 5 clients running on one computer, with two monitors. The main is a 54" 3D plasma, and the secondary is a 25" LCD with 4 windowed clients on it. I was just happy I could run high graphics, all 5 copies and run Fraps!

Looks like you are playing a non-wide resolution on a widescreen monitor, or just recording it at a different aspect ratio that you play at or something, looks rather stretched, and not actually as high resolution as you encoded it at, otherwise good.
Also, looks like youtube killed your audio.

Nice job at 84. I did this last night on my 85's and it was a bitch. One of the last bosses that do the void zones kept wiping me. My graphics settings were turned down so far I couldn't see the aoe he was doing on my group. Once I increased my settings I could see what was killing me. Normals are a big challenge for my undergeared team.

So much easier said than done. Snakes have much higher hp, levers are an 8 second channel each, and reverb hymn stacks ridiculously high, fast. Almost had him tonight but it's too late for me to go on. I spent a few hours of Lady Naj'zar too...
