10-Box

Okay, so the Blizzard Holiday sale ($10 Battle-chest + $10) is making me want to 10-box.

Can anyone tell me if they 10-box on a single machine that is close to these specs:

i7 860 (2.80GHz)
8 GB RAM
ATI Radeon 5850

My potential for becoming even more addicted to this damn game depends on it.

12g of ram and an SSD would help a lot.

I have an SSD, the RAM, alas, needs to wait since I'd have to replace 4x2GB to upgrade. Thanks for the response!

ya i been thinking the same 10 boxing does sould cool but i can keep them keeping wotlk a lot cheeper and am sure they have a sale agean.

You can do it with that, Kate. You may have spots where it isn't the best quality. 12GB or RAM would make it doable.

Can the 5850 run enough monitors for 10 boxing?

I purchased 5 off blizzard store yesterday (you have to do it via your battle.net account). There is however a maxium of 5 that is in place at the blizzard store. I emailed them to ask if I can get more (via multi transaction) but have yet gotten an answer. If you need 10 new accounts, I would make sure you can get tall 10 at once...or you will have to ask someone else to help you buy the other half or be stuck buying 5 more sets at full price.

Don't you have 2 PCs? Also, I do 2 monitors when I ran 10 on 1 machine. Are you thinking of running 4?
