I`m sure some of you are collector edition users for wow:)
I preordered me some collecter editions for cataclysm but I`m also pretty excited about the news about the digital upgrade + instant midnight play(taking some days off).
However the collecter editions will only arive somewhere during the day of 7dec.
Anyone, who has experience with the old CE`s can tell me if I can still make the online upgraded account into a collector one? (as in pet and feat)
I upgraded a couple of Wrath std to collector editions online with no problems.
I think that Cata will be the same, so you should be able to play the game from midnight (servers permitting :P ) and then upgrade to collecters edition at a later date. obviously the original cata edition will be lost as you overwrite it with the CE)
I think I rather upgrade a different account then and transfer over the cata char.:D
I have previously created characters on the WOTLK CE version and then moved them over to standard accounts. also have moved characters over to the CE - got the pet + ach and then moved them back later :P
