4 Shaman Haste for PvP

In season 8, I preferred to have Zero haste, and to absolutely not use the wrath of air totem; The 4 second CD on shocks meant that a kill move was Flame Shock->Lava Burst->Chain Lightning->Shock, with the last shock becoming available exactly as the Chain Lightning finished.

However, with the now 5 second CD on shocks, I don't know how to fill that 5 seconds efficiently.

1 second is used up from the initiating shock, leaving 4 seconds of cast time, and no combination of spells effectively uses it. Since the goal is to have a nuke, chain lightning, and the earth shock + lightning shield combo land at the same time, you will always have a spare 0.5-1 sec window in the beginning of the 5 second window (which is actually only 4 seconds ) that you can't fill.

Thus, I propose haste! We need to fire off more spells in that window to efficiently use it, other wise we'll be waiting, or delaying the second shock. Basically, we need to fire off either:

Lightning bolt-> Lightning Bolt -> Chain Lightning = 5.5 sec / 4 sec = 37.5% haste
Lightning bolt-> Lava Burst-> Chain Lightning = 5 sec / 4 sec = 25% haste
Lava Burst-> (Elemental Mastery) Lightning bolt-> Chain Lightning = 4 sec / 4 sec = 0 haste since E.M. will add just enough

The last case is obviously the best route for the sure kill, since elemental mastery will only be use-able every 180 sec (which should be about 90 sec instead with the talent), I think that an extra 25% haste for PvP might be a good goal, and with the simplicity of reforging, and/or using the wrath of air totem, it should be doable.

Nothing changed imo. Haste isn't worth it. gogo mastery, aparantly that's good.

at the moment i have no problems killing anyone in battlegrounds, without improving mastery or haste.
4 lava + 4 earthshock (fulmination) normaly does the job, if not i do a little purge ;-)

i moved to full resilience (1500+) and it rocks... (for now)

still 40% crit, it's great for range shocks (->45) and fast big heals with the nerfed antiheal-debuff (->25)

ofcourse all this will change with level 85.
