S Priest - proposed build at 85

I've been playing with the talent calculator and I've linked my proposed build for PvP shadow priests at 85. Note than I plan to heavily rely on holy nova when the shit hits the fan, so instant spell mana cost reduction is a key. Also, I don't really plan on using vampiric touch that much since it has a cast time and if I'm standing there casting then I'll likely be nuking with mind spike/mind blast combos. I'm using the talent mostly for the mana regen. I've excluded evang/archangel because if the fight is lasting long enough that my shadow fiend, dispersion, and SWD regen aren't enough mana, then I'm dead anyway. I don't plan on casting mind flay so evang won't be useful.

or just single shadow priest in PVP.

I am still interested in that 5 holy nova spam , proc smite etc.

4 shadow, maybe 5. Maybe a warrior or a shaman for the fifth. I think I like 4 for bgs better as I don't feel like as much of a drain, though still vitally important. I still plan to incorporate holy nova quite a bit, and may try disc instead of shadow eventually, but right now shadow seems too strong to pass up. Lots of burst and high survivability when you have 3 other priests nearby. The smite dynamic has been nerfed due to no more instant smites upon crit - smite spec isn't great unless they increase the range of atonement. However, using power word barrier may prove to be incredible survivability and synchronized penance for damage may make disc viable. I'm still betting on shadow even though my original hope was for lolsmite.

Are you not impressed with Atonement? 100% Smite damage as healing seems... Ridiculously OP when it's x4.

I agree with Mosg2, that sounds so sweet! tho Shadow appiration is awsome aswell.. i cant decide damnit!

Atonement currently only has an 8 yard range - unfortunately that's pretty small. If you're benefiting from that then it's likely the melée is going back and forth causing trouble with LOS and turning. I do think disc has potential because of penance and barrier, but atonement is of limited pvp value :(

Those apparitions move insanely slow, so don't count on them working on any class that kites.

Kiting classes aren't an issue for ranged multi boxers. Any hunter who wants to have a ranged war will lose to a multi boxer. Those apparitions will be great for melée swarms where you alternate healing your toons to survive while moving around
