Not sure if there are better sources for this. I did see another interview with Tom Chilton but it cut off halfway and was a different interviewer... no idea really. Sometimes it's tough to hear what the people asking the questions are actually saying but, anyway...

Interesting, And here is a few observations.
He claims that the talent tree thing was to simplify, and with having to put 31 points into a tree, before you can access the other tree, Doesn't this kind of Pigeon hole what you can do with your spec? I mean you wouldn't go down the Prot tree to DPS.
However, He claims that the Path of the Titans was removed, because of this very reason in vid 3. Or at least that is what I got out of it, and his explanation. IE. One path for "X" spec, another path for "Y". etc.
I don't know, and I've been wrong before my friends, but it seems to me , the revamping of the talent tree, is to make things easier for Blizz to find balance, And while they are not necessarily blowing smoke at us, It does leave me with that impression. Like I said, I am probably wrong about this, and it is just the summer heat making me talk out of turn here.
The whole part of Cho'Gall being the end boss, and not that big Dragon critter kind of surprised me. I can remember the fun my guild had back in the day, trying to take down Gruul the first time, and if they can return that flavor of fun and frustration, I am all for it.

He's saying Cho'gall will be the end boss of Grim Batol [minus the special boss], not of the expansion. Deathwing is still in charge.Quote:

i believe the whole discussion was referring to "the first year fo the expansion"
Chogall will be the Kel'thuzad or possibly the YoggSaron of Cata (with the 'special' boss a la Algalon), with Deathwing appearing later in patches the following year.
You know, that makes sense Zub. You would think after playing this game since Vanilla, I'd remember they don't throw everything at you at once.
