We are pleased to announce a new, easier than ever way that users can implement Wowhead mouseover tooltips to item links within their pages! :)
Please be sure to follow all of the steps very carefully:
Step 1: Add this piece of HTML code anywhere on your page:
Step 2: Smile and pat yourself on the back at a job well done!
That's all you need to do! (Ok, step 2 is actually optional, but why not!) With this code in place, all links found on your site that point to a Wowhead item page will now sport a tooltip and an icon on mouseover.
A working example can be found here.
To color your item tooltip links based on item quality, put "class=q#" in the [url='undefined'] tag, where # is the number of the quality level of the item:
5 is legendary (orange), 4 is epic (purple), 3 is rare (blue), 2 is uncommon (green), 1 is common (white), 0 is poor (gray). Example:
