As crazy as it sounds, no two multiboxers have the same setup or even the same layout. It’s simplistic on the shell but the core is so complex when you dissect a user’s configuration. With that in mind I want you the reader to get to know some of the flat out amazing pieces of technology that enable dual-boxing / multi-boxing to work so flawlessly. Q: First off, what does it do?
A: Synergy enables you to control multiple pc’s with 1 keyboard / mouse utilizing your LAN connection. Seamlessly being able to move your mouse across multiple screens with no delay and having full control once there. Additionally since it is an open source (free) program many members of our site have enabled it to broadcast keystrokes i.e. push a key and it sends that key to all pc’s, move the mouse.. it moves the mouse on all.

A: As you can see Synergy works on a multitude of different operating systems, and on top of that a pretty robust application.
For Setup:
1.Decide which PC will be your main.
2.Specify that it will be the server and for others to connect to.
3.Add the names of the other pc’s to the configuration list.
4.Designate the location of each PC. ( A / B / C ) , A is the main, B is to the left, C is to the right. Start - Done.
On pc’s connecting to the main:
1.Type the name of the main PC at the top, and click connect.
Start – Done.
On top of that you can even set up hotkeys to jump from window to window with a keystroke that you decide instead of having to move the mouse across 3 screens to get where you want to be.
For example F1 would go to the left screen, F2 could go to the middle screen and F3 could go to the right screen. You options are endless and this is just one of those applications that makes like that much easier.
